These 2 games should end automatic bids for FBS or “champions” from smaller conferences. There are at least 10 other teams who could have made a case and played more competitive games. Horrible games to watch.

They won’t have to.

Can’t be defended. This is a joke.

I don’t know the solution, but this most certainly isn’t it.

My understanding is they have to allow one entry to avoid a potential anti-trust lawsuit.

Would be better to pay them off and have good games.

They've both been as competitive as A&M.

There’s no way these players and coaches can be 100% focused or even give a shite about the playoffs. The good players are transferring and the coaches are already gone. They would probably get their arse kicked even if they were focused. It’s pretty fricking stupid if you actually think about it.

I think the powers that be were hoping for some Cinderella stories like they get in the Basketball Tournament.

The solution is two-fold: 1) increase the bids to 16 Power 4 teams. 2) Set up a separate playoff for the Group of Five. There are lots of minor bowls that no one attends that could be incorporated into such a playoff, and that would give them some meaning.

Saving even one spot for a Group of Five team is a sham.

One G5 team has to be in due to anti-trust countermeasures. Two is indefensible. Thanks Sankey.

Are you okay? A&M was on the six yard line trying to score the touchdown that would have tied the game with thirty seconds left.
