How bad is the butthurt in the rest of the country right now re the CFP?

3 SEC WEST Teams in the top 4 for the CFP? BTW.....how Ole miss is in there I have no idea.

So much football left to play that im not sure its relevant. however, the rest of the country got a clear indication that 2 SEC teams (at least) is possible.

This leads me to a question.. Why is it that the SEC is so good? Is it because of all the athletic African Americans in the south? Why is it so much better? Do more fast people just become born in the south or what?

Its the depth that good sec teams have that sets them apart from most P5 teams. A lot of power 5 conf teams have good 1's. What happens after a couple of injuries or when your starters need a breather late in the 4th. Good depth sets the sec apart from the other conferences. Its also the coaches. The sec has really good coaches at schools that aren't really destination schools.

We're the only conference that still emphasizes on defense as a whole. At some point all the other P5 schools with a few exceptions said 'screw defense, let's just outscore the other team.' This is why the other teams seem to breeze through their schedules and drop 70 every time they play a cupcake team, but come up short when they meet a physical team.

thank y'all for the 6 replies. I was about to start a thread asking this but each of you told me something different with two expressing the depth of the SEC so I kind of get it.. Mainly depth and defense. (and someone said $$$$$$ which can't be proven. all tho it prob happens at other big conferences too)
