Our stadium looks smaller than it is because it's mostly below ground.
Florida's is underground too which is weird for Florida because of the water tables.
I'm not sure if you've been to the swamp but it's pretty cool when you walk in and have to walk down to your seats. The stadium isn't very "tall" because of that.

That makes perfect sense. Kyle once had a track is why its so far away. With the field moving fans will be much close, but still sitting higher than LSU's first row.
The 50 yard line was moved 6 yard south because they dropped the field level by 7 feet--if they hadn't moved it south, the folks in the NEZ upper deck would not have been able to see the last five yards or so of the north endzone. The field was not moved in relation to the east and west sides, but the stands will continue down that additional seven feet (adding four or five rows) to be a little closer to the sideline.

I have actually. Thought it was pretty nice. I liked UGA's better though.
Still, we have a lot of ground to make up stadium wise and all Mizzou fans will admit that. The East side expansion was a very nice move in the right direction, but we still have plenty of work to do.

Never been to UG yet. Keep meaning to go but the grown men and old ladies barking continues to cause me to delay that trip.

I really want to make a trip to Sanford. Looks like a fantastic venue and obviously Athens' reputation speaks for itself.
Sanford pre-third upper deck reminds me a lot of UVA's stadium:

Davis Wade looks bigger than 60,000 seats. It's the upper decks that throws people off.

But because of how it's built if you were walking on the east corridor you can still see the inner bowl. But I doubt many pics of those will pull up in Google.
Here ya go...

6 to 12.
OT, but the renovations the school/3rd party did to the campus course are great.

I agree. I was there for the LSU v. A&M game in '12 and the course was a total eyesore. Glad to see it's back.

Update for Kentucky. Looks like new space on outside of stadium suggesting what may be "bars" to service the new club type seating. If you get rid of 10K seats I am guessing booze sales will help offset the lost revenue.

Great pictures of Kyle and Faurot.
I haven't seen this one posted, taken from behind Tiger Stadium's infamous fence.
