Is it just me or does it seem a little awkward that Kyle has maroon chairbacks that don't seem to really flow in the stadium. They completely encompass one side of the stadium and one endzone and are non existent on the other half

The other half consists of 30K students and younger, less affluent, alumni. I wouldn't be surprised to see the seat backs expanded over the coming decades.

It's not something you'll see once the TV cameras are turned on anyway.

I had exceedingly high expectations, and that far surpasses what I expected. It really is ridiculous. Like maybe too much.

Since football season started, shouldn't we have a Part III thread?

When you reserve an entire sideline for students that stand all game, it doesn't make a lot of sense to put in chair backs. For all I care they seats could be yellow and violet. No one will see them when its packed with 103k yelling Ags.

Seriously, what about any of this says football? I guess it suits some folks but I would be out in the stadium actually watching the game.

Yeah they added a lot of additional fluff that the majority will never get to use. Looks nice but I would be too interested in the game to walk around and praise everything.

Just the Aggies trying too hard, as usual. Love how the Hall of Champions is empty.

The folks who buy those suites are paying millions of dollars for the privilege, and underwriting the rest of the project, including the nosebleed 25 yard line seats where I will be watching. They also make it possible for us to give students all but about 2500 of the 30000 sideline seats on the East side--most school stick students in the endzones and less attractive seats so that they can use prime seats to generate money.

This coming from an Ole Miss fan.

You're known more for the grove than playing football.

The student section was left alone primarily due to code changes, they would have had to widen the seats if they redid them so they left them be and besides the students stand for the game so who needs seat backs.
