How are players going to isolate from non-players?

If players have to go to class and walk the hallways, etc. How are they going to social distance from the average student who doesn’t care about protocols and is a carrier? Than that athlete gets it and infects his whole position group and they all have to be quarantined?
How is that preventable? Without students on campus or in-person classes it’s absolutely doable but otherwise I just don’t see how? I don’t want some fricking tard student ruining college football.

They aren’t.
Same goes for all students.
Theoretically, that’s why masks are mandatory.

They can’t. If players want a season they are going to have to be discipline. This will show what players really truly care or what players don’t. They have to be smart when/ where they go. This is really going to be a tough situation.
But if the players really want a season they will take percussions.

Imagine being a Division 1 athlete and being told to abstain from strange for 6 months. That alone would be enough for me to opt out

They can’t. That’s why pulling off a season is going to be so difficult.

Just mask up during sex. It actually may work out better if you want to nail a butter face.

I don't know about at Ole Miss, but my understanding is position meetings are not happening for that very reason at Alabama. If a positive slipped through the cracks and there was a position meeting, suddenly you have no WR's or LB's, or whatever. Not worth the risk.

These are 18-22 year old kids. They aren’t going to stop seeing friends, girlfriends, or going to parties. Positive tests will be an ongoing issue this season.

I agree.. which is why i say we might make it 2 weeks.. Might. You have to have a bubble for this to even have a chase of working.. and even then its a slight.

The problem is that -- like with all the measures -- 4 players taking precautions + 1 who doesn't can easily add up to 5 positive cases/quarantines.

What? The bubbles in the NBA and NHL are working just fine.
I know most of us want a season and I’m happy they are going to try to play, but with the measures in place there is almost no way this is going to work.
There is a very simple way to play sports, but no one is willing to do it. Stop testing people who are sick and stop quarantining players just because they were a contact.

Players should be wearing N95 respirators. That’s the only thing that may help their cause. Masks aren’t for shite
