Please… they evaluate a full season not a 4 game sample size from an exhibition tournament
Arkansas did not have the resume to host. Perhaps try scheduling more respectably out of conference and you would have had a better RPI

They literally have the most Q1 wins in America.

You sure? I’m showing GT has 4 more than Arkansas but could be misreading the website.

That depends on where they are sent to.

Hope my email to the Arkansas baseball bosses about being careful who they schedule 5 years from now works. Also, thanks for proving my point about canceling midweek games

Arkansas completely got hosed on this one.

Lost to Stetson twice and UT-Arlington, lost to Missouri State.
Playing shitty in state schools like UAPB because of politics certainly hurts RPI.
That shouldn't be what kept Arkansas from hosting.
But for sure that was used against Arkansas as an excuse.

It is very clear that they don't want too many SEC teams hosting.

quote:Yep. Oregon had just as many quad 3 and 4 losses as we did with nowhere near the resume and was given the nod. It all came down to the committee putting an arbitrary limit on SEC host sites. Nothing but politics. Absolutely nothing about it had to do with resume no matter how much BS they spew.

The tournament didn't matter to them.

Email the dumbass politicians.

Whether you agree with it or not, RPI matters and that’s why State is hosting over Arkansas. Lord knows we’ve been burned by it before in years past in very similar situations roles reversed.

So they didn’t have an interest in hosting? That makes no sense.

Arkansas could have won the tournament and not host.
These games were pointless because the decision was already made.

Oregon wasn’t a host prior to the Big Ten tournament. For some conferences, the tournaments mattered. For others, it didn’t.

Arkansas went 3-1 in the tournament and believed it was enough to host.
They were wrong because the decision was already made.
