If they had done this after the 2015 game it would have been a dis. As Mayfield QB'd Oklahoma to victories in 2016 and 2017 it seems kind of grade schoolish now.

Most prior players of RRS make statements in the week leading up to game. Thats normal banter from those who played in it.
But tx made Baker a part of the winning celebration and to show the high cost of rent they even had his jersey - meaning he was in their minds way before the game.
Had you made it Stutsman then it makes more sense. But you picked an ex player and the tx players yesterday were in grade school last time he played and beat you.

Rent free implies you don’t have to do anything, you just live in their heads. Simply not the case when he opens his mouth every year before the game.
Can one really blame Hill for using a Baker jersey? I doubt many people can find a Hawkins or Arnold jersey anywhere.
