I think Tua would look purty damn good against ACC defense every week.

That said, Lawrence showed a lot in that title game.

If I had to pick one to play against, this year, I’d pick Lawrence.

I hate when someone says that another player is better than another "because they won a championship". A team wins the championship, not an individual player.

The kickers for Alabama have been relatively terrible, but they were on championship teams...., So are they the best now because they won a championship?

Tuas worst games would be good numbers for Lawrence. lawrence will never have a game that matches anything Tua has done. Even against the Wake Forest, Miami, and Syracuses of the world

I'd take Hurts for our offense.

Like his running ability more.

“Oh, look. A surprise gump post about LSUs QB.“

I see tons of corn dog comments about Tua.

As a Gump, am I not allowed to comment about your QB?

I realize this is your sandbox and I don’t want to step on any toes.

Thanks in advance.

I'll say that after then end of last year, I would've said 100% Lawrence, but he's looked shaky this season.

Still probably Lawrence. Dude is the prototype. Can't go wrong with Tua though. I think Dolphins are tanking for Tua.

I wasn't that impressed with Lawrence last year, but everyone gives me shite.

He played a really weak schedule, the only tough game Clemson played in during the regular season was A&M and he didn't play in it.

Then in the Alabama game he was never pressured, his line did a great job and got 0 credit for it. Meanwhile he was able to abuse Savion Smith due to game planning.

I think he has the potential to be good, and he did everything that was asked of him vs Alabama and didn't lose the game for them, but the hype was beyond ridiculous to me.

Trevor Lawrence and Clemson beat the brakes off Alabama. Give the man some credit. Just because y'all lost to them doesn't mean you can't give credit where credit is due.

Wasn’t he knocked out of the Syracuse game last year....? I recall him having a pretty good season after that.

Trevor. Tua is a bit better if both are 100% healthy, imo, but Lawrence is more durable to this point.

Amazing how people forget Sunshine was KTFO in his first start versus Syracuse in 2018.

Chase Brice had to come in and win the game. It was Clempson's fifth game of the year, the first without Kelly Bryant.

Threw less than 10 passes. Ross played sparingly as well.

Trevor Lawrence was tremendous in the championship game, but a lot of those big throws he had 5-6 seconds in the pocket and his receivers were making those unbelievable catches that usually end up beating us in most of Alabama’s losses (see the Manziel and Ole Miss games).

People overblow his on the field performance because of his pro potential and measurements IMO but that doesn’t take away from the fact he’s a very good QB. Tua benefitted from a hard to prepare for offense last year that nobody was accustomed to from Alabama except Kirby and a fairly pedestrian schedule that didn’t give him too many problems. Steve’s offense has taught him more fundamentals and allowed him to progress much more as a passer instead of chugging him through a system that otherwise just magnified his talents. Tua’s responsibilities have gone up this year and thus his ability to read and detect at the line have progressed (hopefully) so games like Clemson and to an extent Georgia don’t happen again this year.
