How about you make some noise with your chest like a real man?

Artificial noisemakers are of course against the rules but State gets a pass due to being retarded.
The bands of opposing teams have the same start/stop rule as the cowbells. Piped in music is the same. What's the real complaint as every SEC stadium uses artificial noise?

state fans most definitely bring their bells on the road. You know they there. Just a few thousand though. Not like a stadium full.

How many band members are there vs how many cowbells are there?

I've been to a few games in Starkville and the bells aren't really bothersome. It's not like that numbnut at Vandy. It's uniform sound and they cut it off appropriately.

Most people outgrow hollering the whole game

They have to sneak them in past security, and then not be obvious enough that ushers see in the stands. Can't say I've ever heard one in Kyle Field, although I'm sure a rogue or two has gotten through.

Is this something that’s against the rules but the SEC just looks the other way?

The only thing I do know is my first exposure to it was on 1/1/1999 in the Cotton Bowl vs Poor Jackie and with a NYD hangover from hell those fricking things were annoying as frick. Thankfully Ricky Williams opened a can of whip arse on them for his last college game and they mostly stopped.

The cowbells are just part of the experience down there in StarkVegas. But maybe the strange noises cause Arch to improve his accuracy in some unorthodox and unintentional way. Good luck

Is this an ncaa rule or sec rule?
This is an SEC rule, Mississippi State gets to ring their cowbells as much and as long as they feel. It's the way it should be and if you don't like get out of the SEC

You can't hear on the field with either. If you can't hear, you can't hear. That's why they have the same rules. As soon as the center is over the ball, the noise must cease. You hate everything State so there really is reason to debate you.

Is sort of like when in the Big 12 the league looked the other way when you wanted a second on the clock and your coach influenced the refs (before instant replay) to put a second back.

They do what the frick they want.

Deal with it.

you’re really trying to compare 60-80 instruments to 10’s of thousands of cowbells.

Dude….relax. Questions were asked. I answered them. You necks get so asshurt whenever anyone brings up cowbells.

LSU band has 325 members as do most of the larger schools. I am not a neck but I have a bell somewhere but have never taken it to Davis Wade. I did take it to the Gator Bowl in 2010 but my son rang it more than I did. Personally, I don't care for them. But noise is noise regardless of its origin.
