I have no issue with a 1-loss team being in the top 4, but I take exception with the fact that it's Bama.

Bama lost to Ole Miss at home. Sorry, but you cannot simply excuse that one away.

Florida's only loss is to #2 LSU on the road. Beat the everliving crap out of Ole Miss.

Notre Dame's only loss is to #1 Clemson on the road, and it went down to the wire.

If you want credit for your wins, then you have to take responsibility for your losses.

Saturday can't get here soon enough.

Bama chaps that arse, you know they make pills that will make you forget your troubles.
And after Saturday you will need a double hand full.

Solid Post. I just think people need to calm down and let things play out. Baylor fans bitching is kind of funny though. Yes Baylor has loaded up the points on scrub teams but their only quality win is Texas Tech.

If you don't like the Top 4 right now just wait until next Tuesday because it will change.

Bama may well be better than Florida, but based on what has actually happened so far, Florida should have been at 4, certainly not way down at 10. Doesn't matter, after this weekend, Either Bama or LSU will drop. If Bama loses, Florida's only loss will be viewed with much more respect, and they may move up to the top 4.

The committee may very well have taken a hard look at how that Michigan game was won and been unimpressed. That game was lost until one boneheaded Michigan play handed it to them.

Win or Lose, Bama will be ranked appropriately after this week... so I'm not concerned. Everything will get sorted out by the end of the year.

Seems a little strange that they are ranked 4th currently with a loss and no real signature win, but they obviously have an impressive resume overall. A lot of solid wins and one close loss to a good team. They should be around 7th or so right now.

Taking jealousy and pretending that they are defending Florida away, LSU fans should be happy that Alabama is ranked so highly. LSU wins on Saturday, they could move up to #1. They lose, and their only loss is to a #3 ranked team, and they could be back in the top 4, particularly if they win out, as Florida will move up as well.

Of course, this would be assuming that rantards care more about LSU's position than Bama's, which is obviously not the case.

All 3 of those teams have better QB's than the last 4 QB's that have beaten Bama so, yeah, I think they could.

In all honesty, LSU is overrated. The decline is real.

As an LSU fan, do you believe that it's a good thing or a bad thing for Alabama to be ranked #4 by the committee going into the game Saturday?

Good thing to whom? To LSU? Doesn't matter because win and we are still in and lose and we are not. Do I think LSU, with a similar schedule and level of talent would be given the benefit of the doubt like Bama? No.

Ex: LSU loses to Bama by a late game FG Saturday. We will drop out of the top 5. Even though our only loss would be on the road to a #4 Alabama. Somehow that's more undeserving than losing to Ole Miss.

Just saying. But LSU finna eat so it doesn't matter. STTDB

Bama is taking responsibility for their loss. Had they not lost the committee would have them ranked #1. So they did lose and now are #4.

Possibly. But, your chances are much better with a loss to highly ranked Bama than to a team not in the top 4. You never know how the rest of the year will play out. Upsets happen. Sometimes, teams with two losses end up in the top 2. Not often, but sometimes.

Probably, but the final poll won't be next Tuesday. There's time to climb back up. Winning out with a loss to a number 2 or 3 (or 1) ranked team could get LSU into a playoff. Likely? Probably not, but possible, and made more likely by Bama's high rank.

This year is definitely the year. Well, unless it isn't, then there's always next year.
