i haven't made Clemson out as unbeatable.

LSU fanboys have said LSU is unbeatable, hence the auburn point.

texas had 500 plus yards on lsu and scored points

Ohio State is not a better defense or offense than LSU.

September LSU is not January LSU.

Just as September Clemson with UNC, and September Trevor is not January Clemson and Trevor.

LSU's defense has gelled, and has 1st rounders at every level.

it held one of the highest scoring teams in the country to 23 points

LSU hung 37 on the #2 defense in the country, who happened to play a very similar schedule to Clemson.

Also, I think we can both agree that OSU only played 2 teams all season that had a halfway decent Defense. Those being Wisconsin and Clemson. Their offensive numbers are inflated due to their schedule. Much like Clemson's is.

i think Clemson is more balanced team, offense and defense, and pass / run on offense.

Ok.. I’ll give an honest assessment. Clemson could win the game. They will have to play extremely well. Control the clock and try to limit the big plays. I’m not sure you can stop LSU offense but have to hold them to FG’s much like Clemson did Bama and OSU. Mix up coverages, move Simmons don’t turn it over, good pass protection and there is a chance. Don’t play well it could get ugly. It’s a tall task which is easier said than done. LSU is very good and is playing better on defense. But it can be done.

Now that is an honest opinion on what I see talent and scheme wise. I don’t compare scores or look at rankings and stuff.

Because the entire defensive line was injured. What is your excuse for almost losing to UNC?

Of any Clemson fans were being honest, they’d get on here and say “We shouldn’t even be in this game. We only are because the refs completely screwed Ohio St.”

LSU is extremely balanced when they want to be.

See Florida, See Clyde in 3rd-4th Quarter vs Auburn.

LSWho has looked good out side of their defense.

Yall have a good qb who is a one year wonder.

Good WRs.

Decent RB.

We have Dabo and huge coaching advantage.

We have a better QB all around who can run amazingly.

We have a far better RB.

We have better WRs

We have better defense not even close.

LSWho has had a nice year but their coach isnt good and they are short in many areas.

Clemson rolls on that defense but LSWho does some small damage.

Clemson 48
LSWho 27

you guys only beat aTm by 14 and scored 24. We gave up 7 to them and put up 50 on them without breaking a sweat.

Do you know how tired the “but Ole Miss and Vandy scored...” arguments are? Every week ignorant fan bases of other teams bring this non-factor up without any understanding of the circumstances of either of those games. I’m sure you’ll look at the scoreboard and say, “and Oklahoma scores 28 points” as another reason to say the LSU defense isn’t that good.

Here’s what you need to know. The LSU defense, as with all teams (don’t you think Clemson is better now than when they played UNC?), has been evolving. LSU is far more healthy now on the defensive side of the ball than they have all year. As they have done most of the year, they play pretty darn good defense in the first half while LSU’s offense rolls up a huge lead. They have struggled to keep focus while up by 30+ points in some of these games, but they have been easily good enough to compliment the offense that has done nothing but get better each week out.

Go ahead and tell Venables to blitz Burrow because the teams you saw the last couple of games just drop into coverage and got toasted. We know you have only seen LSU play the last couple of games. There’s a reason teams like UGA and OU weren’t blitzing. It’s because the first 2/3 of the year Burrow torched teams that were blitzing. Burrow won’t be rattled.

Watch that game again. LSU left 24 points on the board because they couldn't execute in the Red Zone. We put up 450 yards of total offense in that game.
