Still don’t think our fanbase can figure this team out. We have guys make amazing plays and then you’ll see some baffling ones.

Gotta cut down on penalties and would like to see us establish the run better.

We’ve taken care of the business we should’ve, getting us to 4-0. Now we hit the stretch that’ll tell us a lot.

Our offensive line

Offensive lines are such a strange group. The best offensive line I can remember at Mizzou was 2013. It consisted of a 3 star at at left tackle that went on to the NFL. The rest were 2 stars and one of them was a no star walk on. They were all juniors and seniors though. So just hard to know what you will get at O line from year to year. No QB we had in 2012 looked good. In 2013 we had 2 QBs that looked great suddenly.

To main topic Eli Drinkwitz has put together a fun and talented team this year. Good defense that kept us in close games last year and now an offense to go with it. I'll say 8 and 4 but who the 8 wins are I don't know. SEC games are too hard to call.

They cannot put a complete game together (at least at this point). They are an 8-4/7-5 team.

My cats are the worst 4-0 team in the country. We have a lot of issues to fix, potential is there but they have to get it together

So teams don't get the ball out by 2 secs against other high sack teams??

So why is UGA 80th in TFL?? The lack of a dominant IL absolutely is being felt.

UGA is about what was expected with the exception of doing it with some seriously deep cuts on the roster...walk ons all over the damn field. The place kicker is a concern as well, that was not expected. Schedule is such that it is hard to know where we are...but playing any level of competition if you are playing as many walk ons as we are you are either not good or very talented and everyone knows what the answer to the puzzle is. Still working on chemistry and leadership it seems but schedule will allow for it yet...If UGA does not work those problems out they may make the playoff but they may not make it having loss the only game of the season in the SEC title game...

We suck less than I expected, but still suck on the OL & have some real head scratcher coaching decisions.

The OL is apparently trying to set single season records for jumping offsides. Someone should tell them not all records are good.

Ive said it many times but you didnt hire a coach that will get you anything better than 6 - 6 or 7 - 5.

Sunbelt aint SEC material.

Arkansas is a box of chocolates. Never know what we are going to get from one weekend to next. Still love KJ and really liking our receiver room with the true freshman tight end. He may end up being better than hunter Henry! If our oline learns to play, we can win a LOT. Until then, just don’t know

Hogs still have some issues to fix. O line still has some penalty issues, but did better blocking vs LSU. We have the talent to compete.
In game adjustments need to be better. LSU made offensive adjustments at halftime, we didn't counter with defensive adjustments very well.

No. They dont. If you can't run inside the tackles, you go screen game and RPO.

That is an extension of the run game.
And it gets the ball out under 2 seconds.

It is about our run defense and controlling the line if scrimmage.

Are we a good team with bad coaching?

Or a bad team with good coaching?

Too soon to tell. We will win somewhere between 5 and 9 games regular season.

First off... we are 1 TFL per game behind our 2021 defense. They were pretty incredible. But opponents are doing everything they can to get the ball out quick. Opponents have a lower completion percentage and lower QB efficiency rating in 2023 than 2021.
In 2021, we got 1 INT per game. In 2023, we are almost 2 INT per game.

This past weekend was a great example of the TFL situation.
1) we were without Mykel Williams.
2) we were without his backup Tyrion Ingram Dawkins
3) we were without Javon Bullard.

All of the above have a significant impact behind the line of scrimmage.

4) UAB runs "every offensive scheme". That forced a lot more eye discipline on the linebackers, safeties, and edge players with all of the misdirections.
It gives opponents film on us. But it gives us weeks to work out the types of plays we will see against Florida, LSU, Tennessee, and Kentucky.

Our only goal is to get better each week. That can be with better health. That can be with more coaching.
