LSU has so many:
Honey badger
Leonard Fournette
Jamar chase
Justin Jefferson
Malik Nabers
Odell
Jarvis Landry
Laron Landry
Devin white
Glen Dorsey
Marcus spears
Jeremy hill
Andrew Whitworth
Corey Webster
And these are just the guys in the modern era. How could you pick just one?
So does every other school. That's the point of the thread

There's too many to choose from for LSU, from a talent perspective. So then you have to look at how did they affect your school and community.
I can barely remember Kevin Faulk's time at LSU vividly because I was young, but a lot of LSU fans will attribute the climb out of the cellar in the 90's to him staying home.
He made it "cool" to stay home and go to LSU... instead of Miami, Florida St, USC, etc.
He remains LSU's leading rusher in career yards, career touchdowns, and 1,000-yard seasons. Had a pretty good NFL career with New England.

Georgia: Herschel Walker or Stetson Bennett (this warrants a discussion)
This is the most ridiculous statement I have read so far this week and I don't anticipate reading anything more ridiculous moving forward.

the only problem with cornelius bennett is that he didn't win a natty. For a program like bama with so many nattys don't you think the answer to this question also has to be a natty champion. Id respect bennett being the answer but it is interesting that he did not bring home a trophy
You do realize this is a Team Sport. Reggie White didn't bring home a Natty for Tennessee, but Al Wilson did...so, does that make Al Wilson a better Home-Grown player than Reggie White?

What's debatable they both have Heisman's.

No Reggie White is the second greatest defensive player in football history. The margin between him and Al Wilson is enormous. Alabama has won a national title in every single decade since the 1950s except the 1980s. Its weird then to pick a player from the 80s as the all time greatest in the purposes of this thread. Bennett was great and Ill never forgive him for breaking tony robinsons leg but I've def seen better bama players from that state before and after him.

South Carolina: Jadeveon Clowney
Arkansas: Darren McFadden
A&M: Johnny Manziel
I’d move usce and atm to debatable
Big John and Mike Evans were better players at their respective schools

Are you serious? Herschel by a landslide.

UF is definitely Tebow. Hilarious nitpicking (kind of impressive attention to details though) that he wasn’t born in Florida because his parents were serving as Missionaries in the Philippines. His parents met at UF and moved back to Jacksonville when he was 2, I think we can count it

If you’re building a team from scratch you go with Herschel. Stetson is the “greatest” from GA though imo

UGA fans are peculiar. They claim Hershel was the best college player ever, from anywhere...then act like this topic is debatable for them.
