Nick Marshall made a really big jump for Auburn as a passer in his second year starting there.

I watched Plumlee in high school twice against Wayne County, and you should’ve seen how fast he looked against high schoolers. Was surprised Ole Miss had him starting this year. Looked very raw in high school but tons of potential. Kind of shocked he’s doing as well as he’s doing. Ole Miss will be hell next year. They’re kind of the scariest team in the sec to play right now because they’re better than they’re record and will give you fits. Ole Miss fans should hold back on all the Luke hate. He’s not as bad as what they think. Needs to spend time working on game-management.

That dude was the fastest player on the field last night. If he got past the first level, it was going to the house.

Having not really watched Ole Miss, it was shocking to see.

People I was with kept bitching, and I kept saying, he is faster than anyone we have

Maybe for some unknown reason your defense has the same problem with our freshman dual threat QB this week?

One can pray...ehhh dream I guess.

Won’t matter. We will name our score on offense

No Joe was a great passer in a bad offense. He didn’t suddenly get good over an offseason.

All of this.

They had him under center last year. He is a true spread QB.

Best QB we have ever had. It’s been a pleasure to watch.

I hope it ends with him shining on OSU for the title.

Blake Sims was a running back turned qb. Kiffin did amazing things with him, considering.

While improvement was awesome, he was a QB all but like one year. He came to Alabama as a QB, not a RB

Blake is one of my all time favorite quarterbacks. I thought we were screwed when he was named the starter (he was previously a backup running back), and then he surprised me with a great season. He was deadly hitting long passes.

And then there is this.

People need to go watch Burrow after the Bama game last year. That is when they decided to install the spread. By UCF, Joe was making the same reads and throws. That pass to Sullivan in the bowl game was all world. Then in the Georgia Southern game seeing him in the full system was like Christmas morning. Dude already had these elements. This was not an off season transformation.

Kellen Mond went from literally one of the worst P5 scholarship QBs I’ve ever seen as a freshman who barely completed 50% of his passes to a guy who completes 65% of his passes and is very prolific and efficient when he gets decent protection.

He’s definitely the most improved over the course of a career at A&M that I can recall.

Meh, it’s kinda a crapshoot.

I can’t begin to tell you how many times I thought Jarret Lee/Jordan Jefferson were showing improvement.

He was decent last year, definitely not 'great'. We did have drop issues though.

His accuracy improvement to this year is something I've never seen before. How do you go from 58% to 80% in one year? It's nuts

The most recent example to me at least is Joe borough I did not think he was very good last year but he is absolutely incredible this year

Better scheme OL and his WRs learned to catch

Dak Prescott is the best example I can think of. When Dak started getting reps at State, I never thought he would be able to make the throws, and he was run guy only. Over the last 6 years what he's done is fricking amazing.

Joe wasn't even here for spring ball last year. Add in the insane amount of drops that aren't happening this year and it adds up to the progression we're seeing now.

Burrow was a lot better than you give him credit for last year. 2018 LSU had a pedestrian scheme and an offense with only 3 starters back. Many offensive line injuries.

QBs can and do get better. Footwork and reading defenses at the least.
