I remember screaming obscenities at the TV so loud, our neighbor across the street walked over and asked my wife, working in the yard, if everything was alright.
Response, “ Oh yeah , he’s just watching LSU.”

I was there and remember how we were all so pissed at Bowden for not putting in D. Craig earlier.

I was also mad at Brian Robinson for not falling down after his second pick. He got stripped.

It was an awesome ending though.

I'm glad to see that all of the anger has shifted away from Jamie Howard for the Auburn loss. It really wasn't his fault.

For 20+ years, Howard has been the goat. I never thought that.

On the bright side, that game sealed Hallman's fate, which led to DiNardo, which then led to Saban.

it was absolutely bonkers in the stadium. I wouldn't blame Jamie to much he was actually a decent QB but Hallman throwing over and over on 3rd and medium crazy when AU couldn't move the ball at all that day.

When Auburn shut down the run in the second half, it became a nightmare for LSU.

That's the exact type of game Les Miles would have won; he'd have shut it down and run the clock out, with maybe 20 yds offense in the second half. And again, he'd have got the W.

I pray that O never has a game like that.

That game was my first memory of really watching an entire football game. I was at my cousin's house, and he jumped up in excitement and broke his ceiling fan in his room after one of the interceptions. It was an awesome game.

Craziest game I ever attended. Our offense was garbage that day. When the AU fans are all in the stands looking at each other and laughing and asking why LSU keeps throwing the ball, you know your coach is a complete idiot.

Yet, if LSU runs up the middle on the 3rd & 4 with two minutes left, LSU likely wins the game even if they didn't pick up the 1st down. LSU's punt would have given the ball back to Auburn on their own 30 with less than a minute-and-a-half remaining. Auburn had 16 total yards in the second half, so they would have had to produce offense that they had not produced all game.

My buddy sitting next to me started yelling, "Take the sack! Take the sack!" when Howard dropped back on that one.

At least it finally rid us of Hallman.

Didn't he get revenge in 1995 in the "bring back the magic" game against Pat Nix??

So we might have a Howard vs. Nix Part III???
