Sounds like he’s transferring based on that. What do you think?

What’s the deal here? NIL? Passed up by transfer portal players already?

SEC rules. So he's not coming home

quote:

players who wish to transfer within the conference must enter the portal before Feb. 1 to be eligible to play the following season.

Any player who fails to meet the deadline must sit the next season out. The rule does not apply to SEC players who transfer out of conference.

Moffitt has placed a lot of trashcans at workouts for puking. We will have more of the less committed hitting portal soon.

Jacoby Matthews may be just be making an NIL ploy. We just had a LB that hasn't played a down get a new Mercedes.

And it sounds like LSU is saying he’s going there or there wouldn’t be a tread. I hope he does it this will be awkward.

He can't transfer in conference. There was a February 1st deadline to transfer in conference without sitting out a year.

He can’t transfer until April 15th I think.

I think Elko is a nice guy, but if he’s gone, would Elko still let him go through spring conditioning / practice? Interesting timing to announce he’s leaving in April now.

Is this new at Texas A&M? Was this a problem with Fisher?

So you’re blaming him transferring because off season workouts are tough?

When we lost Schmidt back to OU, there was definitely a dip in the team’s performance the last 2 years under the new S&C coach. There were a lot of injuries too. That’s what we got for promoting from within, trying to keep Schmidt’s routine vs going out and hiring a true S&C coach.

Hopefully Moffitt can turn the boys around.

That’s a pretty straight forward question.

But he didn’t say Matthews quit bc of conditioning. You did, then you upvoted yourself.

This probably means Bryce Anderson will be moving to safety full time.

If anybody is looking for a serious answer:

I don’t know. I hope he ends up staying. I do know that Elko has been very intentional about bringing a culture where the better players are pushed, not protected, and the work expected is tough as hell. There is good evidence that Jimbo wasn’t doing that.

I have no idea if that has anything to do with Jacoby’s decision.

I don’t think it had anything to do with his decision, and April 15th is so far away, he might change his mind.

On the S&C stuff, I recently read an article showing that our decent years correlated with good S&C coaches. I can’t even name our S&C coach who took over the last 2 years, but we needed change.

You do realize that we fired him, right? If he could turn things around he would still be here
