Dude you fired Orgeron and Burger King wanted his guys in.

Jacoby Matthews skipped some offseason workouts and was demoted to 3rd string.

But the inside info is that Moffitt is putting them through hell and we are approximately 5 over the limit so there will be more portal entries.

By next October we will know if Moffitt forgot how to coach. My bet is that he hasn't.

Looks like he’s headed to Knoxville.

It appears that Jimbo didn't work them that hard (allowed them to be late to and skip workouts/meetings/practices, so it would make sense that the entitled and lazy players might want to leave. Elko appears to run a tight ship, which is the polar opposite of Jimbo, according to what my aggie freshman has been hearing around campus.

Being put out there that this happened a couple weeks ago and was basically pushed out due to inability to meet the new demands on and off the field… wont be the last. Doesn’t hurt we brought in a ton of transfer DbS

You do realize that we fired him, right? If he could turn things around he would still be here.

Most here just realized that you’re a dumb arse.

But he didn’t say Matthews quit bc of conditioning. You did,

Moffitt has placed a lot of trashcans at workouts for puking. We will have more of the less committed hitting portal soon.

Pretty much implied from this being the first 2 sentences in his response to the OP. We know critical thinking isn’t really your “cup of tea”, but this is more of a comprehension issue here. I sent you a link last time we had this issue, I’m guessing you haven’t looked into that but you really should.

What does Moffitt being a beast have to do with Jacoby Matthews?

A guy made a comment that he’s not surprised a guy quit during workouts. This ain’t the first dude that’s quit during workouts. Most come back. They getting used to new coaches and systems.

On the S&C stuff, I recently read an article showing that our decent years correlated with good S&C coaches. I can’t even name our S&C coach who took over the last 2 years, but we needed change.

Why did Fisher let the one that was good go to Oklahoma?

I think he wanted to go back. They had an opening. He was really good. His replacement fell behind from using analyticals perspective. Or something like that, there was an article about our last 5 S&C coaches and how they correlated with our W/L’s

You better watch out for Oklahoma! He stole him from you guys and things fell apart. Fisher was too dumb to not find a good replacement or pay him more to stay. Hope this time around works out for Texas A&M. But not against Missouri though.

Moffitt sounds like a real deal. I found out years ago how important the S&C is to the program. I wish Jimbo would have invested time and money when Schmidt left. Elko was very serious in his search for that position. Said it was probably the most important.

Seems like a lot people think it’s more of an NIL play, maybe just looking for a better deal and we can get him back in the fold. He was a decent player with solid stats for his position.

I’m not sure I buy the “he can’t handle the workouts” line. In every coaching change across the country we hear how much tougher the workouts are, how guys are way more bought in now, and how the old coach had a bad culture. It’s almost cliche at this point.

Everyone stop acting like this kid is an all American.

He’s replaceable. And he knows it. And he doesn’t want to work for it.

Most of the kids that left A&M are in it for money, or cannot handle real expectations.

Let him leave.why force someone to stay?

Moffit didn't forget how to coach. He will have your guys in shape. Just a bad situation at the time. It was sad to see him packing his vehicle in the rain. Truly a sad day for LSU.

He wanted to stay home and play. He definitely went there for the money.

Mathews is a pretty good kid and player. He was a second string safety in the lineup at the beginning of the season. He moved up to starting safety after Gilbert got hurt. Not a great player but not a bad player at all. Elko has brought in three veteran transfer safeties. I think he is worried he will not start.
