Also I have no problem with Tubs as a senator. Vast majority of congressmen are morons who get elected by pandering to other morons

The Dems are excited about a Walker run. There is so much dirty laundry it’s going to be easy to retain their Senate seat. Herschel may have been a great football player but he is a very troubled man.

You mean he is not 'brave' for working through 'mental health issues' and you don't 'wish him all the best and think people should not judge him' ?

Honestly, walker is cleaner than warnock. And herschel will be able to stand toe to toe with warnock without the racist tag (from warnock).

Walker has done more charity and goodwill in the state than any democrat running. His brand is strong right now (thus kicking off his campaign).

Born to a working-class Puerto Rican family in the Bronx, New York, Ocasio-Cortez graduated from Boston University, majoring in economics and international relations, and worked for Senator Ted Kennedy's office where she focused on immigration issues while in college.

After graduation, she returned home and became a community organizer. However, with the recession taking hold, along with the financial issues her family faced after her father's death in 2008 from cancer, Ocasio-Cortez took multiple low-wage restaurant jobs to help keep them afloat. Graduated cum laude
Ocasio-Cortez attended Yorktown High School, graduating in 2007.[15] In high school and college, Ocasio-Cortez went by the name of "Sandy Ocasio".[16] She came in second in the microbiology category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in 2007 with a research project on the effect of antioxidants on the lifespan of the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans.[17][18] In a show of appreciation for her efforts, the MIT Lincoln Laboratory named a small asteroid after her: 23238 Ocasio-Cortez.[19][20] In high school, she took part in the National Hispanic Institute's Lorenzo de Zavala (LDZ) Youth Legislative Session. She later became the LDZ Secretary of State while she attended Boston University. Ocasio-Cortez had a John F. Lopez Fellowship.[21]

While her platform is a bit too far left for me, there is no doubt she is better educated and more qualified than all House and Senate representatives from my home state, except Shelby (don’t like what he has become, but he is qualified).
Your trying to use the fact that she went to work as a bartender to be close to her father so she could care of him is laughable. That is to be applauded

I admire him for telling his story in his book. But there have apparently been multiple incidents since he put this book out. I believe he is a good person and happy he has sought treatment for his issues. But the fact remains there are a lot of questions about whether or not he should be a candidate. In addition to not living in the state of Ga there are self admitted claims of spousal abuse, restraining orders, police confiscating his guns, suicidal attempts and driving around contemplating murder of his ex wife as well as a car salesman. And not too savory business dealings aren’t helping either. Herschel was very open about his problems in his book and I commend him for that. He said he wanted to write the book to help others suffering from similar issues and I believe him. But there have apparently been issues since his treatment, his “cure” and his book. Lots more info should be coming to light soon. The Dems I know are thrilled he is going to run. They are a lot less worried about winning if he is the eventual nominee. A lot of GOPers aren’t happy with his decision to run. They know all the baggage he comes with.

I respectfully withdraw my insinuation that she isn't highly qualified.

I admit, I didn't realize she had finished second in the science fair at school.

You might start with Herschels book. Then check the internet. His history is well documented.

So he already put it out there, it doesn't have to be a last minute October Surprise with women coming out with this or that, and all the bullshite democrats do to sway elections to get the conversation off of anything relating to policy will already be in the distant zeitgeist.

The GOP will have to decide if he is their choice or not. It’s going to be ugly. The dirty laundry is going to be drug out and talked about for months and months. Democrats are already high fiveing
