1972 Ole Miss at LSU John Ferguson's radio call is fantastic.

I was at the 2014 game and didn't storm the field. We sat directly across the stadium from TGBFTL. I couldn't hear shite after the game.
Same, was so loud, I have no idea how it could be loud that long. LSU fans around me were yelling during timeouts etc.
Drunk lsu fan in front of me was talking shite the whole game, and tried to vomit on me near the end of the game.
I enjoy the lsu banter and most of the fans are awesome but some of the scummest humans on earth wear purple and gold

Wow, you guys have 40 wins against LSU. Never would have thought that.

Owned them in the 50's and 60's. 13 and 5 from 1950-1969 with 3 ties.
Lsu was 14 and 1 from 1915 to 1937.
OM has 24 wins in tiger stadium, Bama only has 28.

LSU really stormed the field.

Went to 12 and 14 with my Ole Miss buddy. Was such a great time.

A year after said talented players departed for NFL, Ole Miss strolled into death valley against #5 LSU without a snowball's chance in hell to win. The Rebels put up a hell of a fight but it was not enough to bring the Tigers down. Brandon Bolden, Scotlandville High's finest ran for 90 and 2 tds on his hometown team. And as a bonus we got this
HOW FKIN EASY ??????
kinda cool that Ole Miss' starting RB was an LA native and LSU's starting RB who scored the go ahead TD was a MS native

A drunk LSU fan was standing on the bleachers mumbling something, then yelling hello goodbye and frick you.

Little did we know that 2 future LSU National Championship winning coaches were on the field.
three. Jimbo was also on the field, and so was future and now former Ole Miss HC Hugh Freeze

Seen a lifetime of LSU v Ole Miss games in person/on tv but the 1st was the best. I was 10 when my dad & oldest brother took me to Tiger stadium for the 1st time on Oct. 31,1964. From s little country town had never seen so many people in one place and they were all yelling go to hell Ole Miss. As time was running out LSU scored td to make it 10-9 and went for 2. Receiver and future radio voice of LSU radio and future district attorney of Baton Rouge, Doug Moreau caught 2 PT conversion for the win! Lot of great games since but none will ever top that 1st time in tiger stadium.

Cool. Interestingly, Ole Miss and LSU are actually way down on the list of most played opponents for Auburn.

Is this the new coach versus old coach bowl?

2002, 2003, 2004, and 2006 were all reallly close games too. While LSU has pretty much had its way with Ole Miss for the last 20 years, this is a game that gives us fits a bit more than I'd like lol

This used to be a hell of a rivalry. LSU students greeted one another with Go to Hell Ole Miss. The whole campus was buzzed. But this was way back in the day.
And go to hell ole miss.
And go to hell ole miss.

How ... in the world!... could you leave off the most famous of those rivalry games, the 1959 LSU-Ole Miss Billy Cannon run on Halloween Night????
Fans, please attempt to know your school's history a little bit.
#3 Ole Miss visited #1 LSU....Ole Miss had only given up 21 points all season to this point....late in the 4th qtr, Billy Cannon returned a punt for 89 yards for the game's only TD, LSU won 7-3.
At season's end, the Rebels got revenge on the LSU Tigers in the Sugar Bowl, ripping the Tigers, 21-0. Ole Miss finished #2 in the nation, LSU finished #3.
The game was broadcast nationally on N..B..C.

Growing up in Mississippi, I always think of the 1986 game when Ole Miss shocked LSU in Baton Rouge. The Billy Brewer days were a wild ride.

My favorite game of the year and always has been.
I still remember the 1998 game well. 37-31 OT win at Ole Miss on a pass from Romaro Miller to Cory Peterson. Deuce ran all over LSU. Vaught Hemingway was rowdy that day.

I was at the 2003 game in Oxford Eli's senior year. When Travis Johnson got that pick 6 from Matt Mauck, that might be the loudest the stadium ever was.
