A close 3rd behind Bo and Herschel. He is after all the only SEC back with 2000 yards and he is also the TD leader.
per your own rules, shouldn’t it take more than one outstanding season to qualify him #3 on your list?

Respectfully, Auburn fans DO NOT forget about Pat Sullivan.
The recruiting for Pat between the two schools was so intense Pat parents had to make a schedule. Mondays were dinner with Bama coaches and Tuesdays was Auburn coaches.
True story... Pat attended an NFL exhibition game in Birmingham with Shug Jordan as coaches guest. Jordan's car broke down in bumper to bumper traffic. Bryant drove by in a police escort. Sullivan asked Jordan who that was. “Boy, that’s Coach Bryant,” Jordan said. “You can either ride with him or walk with me.”
Sullivan had three victories against Alabama as a player, and four consecutive Iron Bowl victories later as an Auburn assistant coach.
The demand for tickets to watch “Sullivan to Beasley” was so great that it allowed Auburn to start its mandatory season-ticket plan. In 1970, Sullivan’s junior season, ticket sales to Auburn football games eclipsed $1 million for the first time.
Aside from Bo, Pat is the greatest player and outstanding man to ever wear an Auburn uniform.

He was a solid player for 3 years as the other two were not just 1 year.

Hard to hold not being in the Super Bowl against a player whose entire career took place before the Super Bowl existed.

That said, Eli was the other guy I considered putting on the pro list.

Burrow only had one good season, not on the list

his numbers for 2 years at LSU are better than Johnny Manziel's 2 at A&M.

hell, Joe threw fewer Int's in 2 seasons at LSU than Johny did in just his last year at A&M

I don't really know enough about Stabler as a college QB. I do see that he's not in the college football hall of fame, where players like Fran Tarkenton, Danny Wuerffel, John Rauch, Pat Sullivan, Archie Manning, Steve Spurrier and Joel Hunt are.

Newton isn't in the HOF yet, but will be. Not sure about Johnny Manziel but he could be.
