Hand was never consistent as a recruiter or an on the field coach. He was truly boom or bust. We didn't have much of a need on the OL in last year's class and we sign a great class. We desperately needed OL in this class and we only have two commited (both projects at best).

On the field our OL would either look incredible or completely inept and it took Hand 4 games both years to figure out what he had on his lines.

Losing OL coach and 4 starters from the best ol in the nation finalists? This is being spun as a good thing. Typical auburn fans

Have you not watched how inconsistent our OL play has been the last two years?

I wish him the best, but glad he is leaving. He is the only staff change I wanted. Santa brought me my gift late this year.

Well you guys did give up 11 to Clemson but I forget, that's all on Hand. Nothing to do with a defensive front full of first rounders and a QB making his first true road start.

UCF is loaded with first rounders too.

Then why did CGM hire him in the first place?

You're ok with your special teams & WR coaching?

Did you watch our WRs in the iron bowl? They teabagged Bama's DBs up and down the field. Special teams was no doubt an issue and needs to be addressed.

We don't even have a named special teams coach. Maybe that is the problem

He helped Auburn beat two number ones teams in a month and had them going into December with a RB competing for an invite to New York and a team with a chance to make the playoff. Yet he needed to be fired, isn't worth a shite and Bama fans are the unreasonable ones

I think Bama’s OC should have been fired assuming he doesn’t leave for the NFL. He helped Bama win a NC

We need a decent one of those, but OL play is more pertinent than ST coach, IMO.

I am fine with the WR coach. He's not upper echelon, but..... I think the route trees we run is what needs the most work. Hopefully, we will see more of a variety next season.

Hand is super likeable and has a good reputation. I was a huge fan of the hire.
His units have only produced 3 seasons since 2010 that weren't ranked in the 100s in TFL allowed and 3 seasons where they weren't ranked in the 100s in sacks allowed. Average ranks are 97 and 98 in both categories.

He was playing with less than a full deck at times, but the numbers are abysmal and it is hard to imagine where they couldn't be improved upon, no matter how much I want to like the guy

STFU UT fan. You're irrelevant. UT sucks in the SEC, UT sucks in the Big-12; I've concluded UTs just suck now.
