I really enjoy the downtown bars and restaurants that have been mentioned. The Field House if it is still there was a good place to watch other games.

The walk from downtown through campus to the stadium is nice until you get to all the hospital/medical school stuff between campus and Farout Field... but it is a pretty long walk.

W/r/t tailgating, walking down the road between Lots N and M (refer to previously posted map) and venturing into those lots may give you the best opportunity to interact with Mizzou fans and snag a drink or two. I park in Lot K and drive that road every game. Always plenty of activity!

Tiger fans who will let us catch a glimpse of some midafternoon games before kickoff.
plenty of places to do that both downtown and at the game.

Adding on that you will no longer be in the Bible-belt, so walk around with a drink and some smoke in your hand to your hearts content.

I hope you enjoy the trip to COMO!

Another good bar is My House (but I think cover is pretty steep on game days) - they have lots of TVs.

One of our tailgate regulars has a couple of kids that went to MSU, I'm sure they will be there and the whole crew is friendly. Most Mizzou people are very welcoming.

One other thing to note - due to the construction you have to enter the stadium on the side where your seats are located. So, check your ticket location and plan to arrive on that side or give yourself ample time to get around. It can get crowded on the narrow temporary walkway for the North side construction. The South side requires you to traverse pretty steep walkways/roads as you have to go down into the lower parking lot and back up (the stadium sits in a natural revine). This is temporary until the new North end zone is done, then there will be a nice wide open concourse to move from East to West.

The Waffle house is just a little way up the hill south from Truman's Landing. (That's where all the campers park)

The local Indian dealer sets up a trailer in one of the lots south of Hearnes with food and multiple tv sets.

If you like chicken wings, get the smoked wings at D Rowe’s. Sophie Cunningham might show up here if she’s in town. Or the Attorney General of the state. If you stay long enough at night, there’s an angry KC developer who will try to fight someone and then get embarrassed and pay everyone’s tab in the bar. 25% chance

Great small plate options with slightly elevated environs and good food at Flyover.

If you end up at Murry’s post game, Dennis Gates might come through. Get the fried green onions in powdered sugar. Yes, that is not a mistake. And it won’t be a mistake when you order them.

These are all south of the stadium by a few miles or so.

If you’d rather wander through the masses of people downtown, that’s fun, too. Skip the barbecue. It sucks (mostly) in CoMo.

It’s our annual guys trip. We are sophisticated, so we will be eating at the Iron Skillet in Kingdom City on the way into CoMo like the upper class does.

We will then get drunk in a parking garage and head over to the game. See you there!

COMO Smoke and Fire is pretty good. But out on the edge of town.

Lutzs and Sweetsmoke are excellent, but you have to go to Jeff City for those.

It's the only time I've been put on criminal trespass during a game. I of course scalped more tickets and still went because frick their police.

Haven't been back in 20 years since....

Breakfast at Ozark Mountain Biscuit is excellent, though it's hard to beat the #7 at Ernie's.

Never been up there, always packed.
