Actually the race should be dead even if it was for Baker winning the heisman last year and Tua having the comeback in the national title game.

Pass efficiency rating
-Kyler: 216.6 (NCAA record)
-Tua: 215.2

-Completion percentage
Kyler: 70.6
Tua: 68.0

-Passing Yds
Kyler: 2689
Tua: 2361

-Passing TDs
Kyler: 31
Tua:27

-Ints
Kyler:5
Tua:1

-Rush Yds
Kyler: 574
Tua: 172

-Rush TDs
Kyler: 7
Tua: 3

Kyler leads in all categories except int thrown. Bama being undefeated is probably helping Tua stay out front. If Kyler can have a few games of 5 tds running and passing and get closer to 1000 rushing, we may have a close ending.

Not a chance , by the way.

Kyler has been shredding the big 12. Good job, I guess.

Okay, it's close, but Tua just also played his first 4th quarter since the title game. How do you think his numbers would look if he played all 4 like Kyler?

Tua >>>> Kyler

One guy struggled against Army, the other has been smoking Cubans and sipping on whiskey every 2nd half this year. What do I know?

I feel like there is some critical data that's absent in this post.

Murray has been great, and he is definitely in the conversation, but Tua has fundamentally changed the offense of what was already the best program in the country.

That and Tua has played 3 games straight with a gimpy leg. Specifically, it is his lead leg with a heavy brace, which greatly affects knee flexion, follow through and accuracy

Plus, Kyler, though talented, feels like he is benefiting from a system.

What tua is doing is unprecedented in UA football.
