Didn’t she graduate from Indiana University journalism school? I think she did some sort of Bob Knight interview and got him in trouble for something he said and she became “courageous female reporter”.

No. She’s a moron. She’s a DEI hire that doesn’t know shite. She’s actually not as visible as she used to be. Someone must have told her to put a sock in it

She’s been covering the committee for ESPN since day 1. Her job isn’t really to know football, it’s to report on the committee’s process and get color from them where she can. Nobody else devotes their entire time to that, as they are more busy covering the actual sports.
I don’t care for her, but I don’t see anybody you’d want doing it actually wanting the role of covering the committee rather than the sport itself.

Explained.

She's ESPN's liason to the CFP committee. That's it. She talks to them and reports backs. That's why she's the 'expert', because of the nature of her function.
If you met with the CFP committee on a regular basis you'd be the expert.

She seems like a really sweet person in the same way that special Olympic athletes are really sweet people. Complete moron when it comes to football analysis.

She’s a purdont grad I believe but either way she is unapologetically a big ten homer with lazy takes

If you think about it, why do any females have roles on football broadcasts? Why do they appear as a studio panel host or sideline reporter? Not a one of them ever played a down of football.
It's all about keeping men's attention.

They send her to CFP summer camp every year so she sits through all the journos' hand-holding class of the mock selections.
Which is nothing more than a dog-and-pony show because, in the end, the committee is going to do what it wants. It's just like the NCAA basketball selection process. They tell the journo sheep at these mock classes that they never engineer matchups, and then when the real bracket comes out, you always just happen to get certain matchups geared for TV.

I like her. Not sure why people loathe her so much. Is she the female in the male dominated sports thing.

She used to be fairly attractive. Hasn't aged well at all.
She's no Linda Cohn...neither as a commentator, nor in the "aging well" department. Cohn is probably the only female sports anchor I would put in a conversation alongside the best males.

What's the context of this picture?

Linda Cohn is a legend. It's hard to hear her voice and not think of Saturday evenings, recapping the day in CFB.

It’s not just Heather Dinch.
Do any of the talking heads ever say anything meaningful?
If you follow the sport you have as much insight as anyone on TV/Radio.

I dunno, an ex-LFL player could become a reporter one day.
I know an ex-LFL player...I don't think she'd wanna be a reporter, though.

She’s not that bad. She was the ACC reporter on ESPN.com back in the day covering that conference like Chris Low covered the SEC. 2008-2010 so she’s been around a while
