The REC probably put them in their place and they'll tow the company line tomorrow.

He doesn't need to find out this year because he already knows. As he has lot of experience in the SEC.

Arkansas is one of the youngest teams in the NCAA. The defense has a lot of freshmen. In two years I expect them to make a big leap.

It is a bout politics and nothing to do with wins and loses. Arkansas has no clout in the SEC. Not being an original charter member will do that to you as Arkansas is fighting an up hill battle. That is the way it is.

It’s not just Arkansas.

Alabama always gets their way.

For some reason the SEC seems to be protecting Georgia a lot recently. I guess because they have made it to the playoffs a few times?

Can you remind me what it is? Don’t think I’ve ever actually heard it. Mizzou has been pretty off the grid the past few years because I didn’t even realize they changed coaches until I joined this webpage.

No, I can’t.

Just know he’s way better than the joke of a coach MSU hired. Of course, the program is a joke so it fits

Good thing we are playing each other this season.

I’m sorry you can’t remember your own coach’s name.

There is no explanation for how they came up with it. That’s the controversy - not the picks themselves.

The Alabama schools have the most influence in the SEC. So what they say goes. Mississippi State despite what other fans think of them, still has more pull than Arkansas. Texas A&M has more pull because they are seen as a large school with a lot more money than Arkansas or Missouri. So they will get more breaks like our last game of the year was changed with LSU.

We were not what the SEC originally wanted in the conference at first. But when schools balked a bout the idea of joining the SEC, Arkansas and South Carolina were the only choices left as they saw dollar signs with an SEC champ game. If they could get two more schools to join. It happened and the rest was history. Arkansas needed a better home, the SEC wanted a championship game and so made the process easier.

Your team was 2-10 last year. The difference in playing Kentucky or Georgia as your extra game isn’t if you will be beat it’s how bad you will be beat. Stop bitching and be thankful that you’re not pulling for a B1G or PAC12 team.

As long as we play I'm fine with the schedule.

Your team lost 2 games despite having a soft schedule and consistently getting the best athletes in the country. I’d be worried about your own program and not 0-win Arkansas.

It makes no difference if they were 2-10 or 10-2. Arkansas was successful in the SWC but still got the run around on and off the field. Anything from phantom passing interference calls against SMU to an unwritten rule that no one from Arkansas can ref in a SWC game in Texas.

Arkansas fans have been bitching long before joining the SEC and will continue to do so unless they make themselves a larger presence at the table instead of being agreeable all the time.

I expect a lot of negative, undermining press about the SEC until they cancel fall football. The Big 10 is pushing this.. Even ESPN will push this surprisingly.

There's absolutely no good reason why we got the #1 and #2 teams in the East, when we already had the #3 on our schedule. When they're going to pick opponents on a standard not based on the upcoming rotation, then SoS should be taken into account. Give us Georgia and Vanderbilt, or Florida and South Carolina. Georgia and Florida is kind of ridiculous when you're already also going to play Alabama and LSU.

You were going to finish with a losing record already...

That's not really the point, is it? You could see it as this season was a wash, so who cares, anyway. You could see it as a fragile and recovering team with a first time ever HC shouldn't have so many scheduled losses just because it's convenient for the SEC's cash cows. Either way, what if we weren't going to end the season with a losing record? What if we had a 2010/2011 type team, and then they just threw Georgia and Florida at us, seemingly for no actually good reason?

It's weak to write this off as "who cares" just because that's the most palatable excuse, given how the season was already looking. It sets a precedent that shouldn't be set.

The SEC should just take the time to address this imbalance and give a reason.

I hate that saying that this season is a wash and we are going 0-10, we are going to lose and so don't bother showing up, bullshite. Someone is gonna lose and who the unlucky bastard is, is anyone's guess.

You have to look at it from the other side. UGA and UF are expected to battle it out in the East. Giving them both the expected worst team in the West was a way to balance out their schedules.

The Hogs were a sacrificial lamb and thrown to the wolves of the East. Also, Miss St, A&M, and Arkansas weren’t originally scheduled to play either UF of UGA. All three were guaranteed to get a game added against at least one of them. Somebody was getting both, and again, the hogs were sacrificed to give the Gators and Bulldogs a break.

The SEC still needs to release more info. There was no formula, but they need to be open about their reasoning.
