Saw an ESPN line today about SEC coaches meeting via video, and a "heated discussion" followed about how the conference picked the 2 additional opponents for each team's schedule.
Any info???

WE going to play!

That's what I'm hearing from this heated discussion.

There was an article on ESPN a few days ago. There’s a good many SEC coaches who are mad at the league, who didn’t have an answer to inquisitions about the selection process.

The main, big issue is that the League has /will not give a statement re the assignment of the 2 new games. Giving the impression the League is hiding something. It'snot hard to figure out which HC's are pissed.

It’s quite a few of them.
My impression is pittmen, mizzou coach, Leach, Kiffin are all not happy.

I’m sure Kirby is crying too.

You only are getting screwed when you are not one of the better teams. Then the two teams picked are always seen as tough opponents for you. Just how it works.

I really do not understand why the league did not just go 13 games. Take the top 2, SECCG, playoff got one, possible 2 more games, so 16 game season.

There's absolutely no good reason why we got the #1 and #2 teams in the East, when we already had the #3 on our schedule. When they're going to pick opponents on a standard not based on the upcoming rotation, then SoS should be taken into account. Give us Georgia and Vanderbilt, or Florida and South Carolina. Georgia and Florida is kind of ridiculous when you're already also going to play Alabama and LSU.

I see your point. If the highers up had a rhyme or reason to the choices people wouldn't be as irritated that's the real issue I guess.
Only thing I can think in Arkansas case this year is your coach is gonna find out real quick the type of players he is gonna need to succeed in the SEC after 10 games that's for sure.

Kiffin has to be happy. We exchanged a murderer's row schedule for UF and UK. Ole Miss is much better with this schedule than the original.

UF and UK are tough picks for a new coach. The article specifically called Leach and Kiffin out, which is why I included them in my post.

Can you remind me what it is? Don’t think I’ve ever actually heard it. Mizzou has been pretty off the grid the past few years because I didn’t even realize they changed coaches until I joined this webpage.

I haven’t really read up on how they came up with it, but I have wondered how we ended up at UGA and home against Vandy when our next games that were coming against them were actually supposed to be just the opposite location wise.
