Before UVA in 2015 the last national title in the ACC was Wake Forest in 1955

FSU being 24 times, North Carolina being 12 times and Clemson being 12 times and never winning it is wild

What never ceases to amaze me is that Georgia Tech only has 3 trips to Omaha and hasn’t been in 20 years. They’ve made the NCAA tournament 37 times and only advanced in 3 of those. Absolutely insane futility.
By comparison, we have half as many NCAA tournament appearances (18) and more than twice as many trips to Omaha (7)

They are in a category all by themselves.
A special category of apathy.

No point of going on these trips to Omaha if you're not going win it.
Might as well just watch from the stands.
Or stay home.

But but but I was always told ACC was good at baseball

Of course each year seven teams leave Omaha losing their last game.
7/8 of the field lose.
1/8 of them leave with a trophy.
So it is frustrating to get there and lose but there is an 87.5% percent chance that is going to happen.

North Carolina is a special type of loser.
They need to stick with basketball.

This was North Carolina's 13th trip you can safely roll the odometer.
