If you do make it to BR, we definitely have to have a beer

Lagvulin and Laphroig for me.
I mostly stick to bourbons and craftish cocktails.

I'll never turn down a Laphroig.
Never had Lagvulin, but I'll buy a bottle, in your honor (and because it's scotch).
I'm with you re: bourbons and cocktails.
The fresher the herbs for muddling, the better.
If it's not growing in-house ... to borrow your previous verbiage ... GTFO.

I have no clue why texashorn likes to respond to my posts but at this point I appreciate it for what it is.
I do have an account with a lot of positive rep on shaggy so maybe I spin his brand of Aggie delusion or something.

I'd recommend having a glass out before buying it. It's normally around $90.
With the exception of mint juleps and trying to make bitters I don't really use very many herbs, but they're fresh when I do.

I bookmarked it because a certain rainbow cake made my day.

Good point about the ode to College Station Brer
And if you recall, the Front Porch has a Robert Earl Keen version and a Lyle Lovett version. I alternate on which version is my favorite

My classmates. Let that sink in a minute. This is sorta like saying you really like some of the stuff Isaac Newton had to say.

That Gravity movie was the shite in IMAX. I can dig the Newt.

Doesn't count unless you went to Angelos or cousins

I should give Lyle's version a listen.
I was first introduced to REK because one of my fraternity brothers transferred to LSU after he nearly failed out of A&M. He was hard core Aggy when I first met him and was always playing REK, Jerry Jeff, etc. The music rubbed off on me eventually though we beat the Aggy out of him by the time he graduated. He remains a lifelong Texan and I'm fine with that.

I have been and it was a terrible experience. Of course LSU was preseason #7 in Tommy Hodsons senior year and yall ran the opening kickoff back for a touchdown on the way to kicking our arse. I was a Freshman at LSU and that was my first away game staying at a farm outside of houston that belonged to one of my pledge brothers family. We had a good time but to be honest it was so hot it was not possible to enjoy the game anyway despite the outcome. I vowed that day to never go to a game there again.

I got one of the worst sunburns of my life during that game.

Sumbitch. I've had "Merry Christmas From the Family" on loop in my head since reading your post. MAKE IT STOP.

Always hilarious to compare the first page of one of these long-running threads to the last
