GT is a decent team.
Not a top 25 team, but they were a bowl team last year and likely will be again this season.
Vandy is likely at the same level (though will probably have a worse record as winning conference games in the SEC is more difficult). Vandy is usually like GT was under Geoff Collins (a 3-4 win team overall). Now they're a bit better.
I don't know if I'd go so far as to say they're "good". But they aren't cupcake level either. They're bottom half of the P4 level... not worst team in the P4 level.

They’re 59th in FEI defense, which compared to last year is light years better.
Their defense last year was Sun Belt level.
