Yes but if they are really a silent commit why do so many know about it?
Agree as well until they sign but at least they made it public.
Well it apparently was a silent commitment. Just not the one the OU board mods thought. DoH!

A&M lead in this recruitment longer than OU. OU momentum just came on a couple months ago. People are so simple minded.

Coming from a team that lost to App State. Boy that gaggie delusion is real lol

Gotta love some OU loser getting jerked around. Guy even flew down there

Flips have happened before. They will happen again. Corey Nelson flipped from A&M to OU. Was it bagmen?

SMU was cocky just like that lol

You are right you will lose them because they will get tired of seeing you play or forgot in small bowl games under Jimbo and not playing for championships which is gonna happen again this year

Without Hicks OU already has their best recruiting class in 20 years. We all know what happened and when they do get punished for cheating the melt will be glorious and you know I will be here to cherish in it !
A@M hasn’t been paying their bills from the previous class and you wonder why there is so much drama at A@M ? Losing to app state is embarrassing because you lost to them after buying your whole class lol… how can that even be possible ?

A&M class with a higher average player ranking than OU.

Dude, you are so ignorant it boggles the mind. Have you done a lot of real heavy drugs for a long time? Have you ever taken a really severe blow to the head that put you in a coma for a few years? Most of the stuff you type screams "uneducated", "brain fried with LSD" or "special". I just have not been able to figure out which one.

It such a done deal he made a OU football braniacs video detailing why he was picking OU the day before . So tell me again how money wasn’t involved Aggies ? I hope one day you will realize if a school who hasn’t won in 100 years suddenly starts getting big time recruits starts getting those recruits then it’s probably because they are cheating scumbags ….. when you get caught I will be here !

Really? If so, then why did Hicks tell them he was still going to OU shortly before the announcement? Was he being conspiratorial in deceiving OU that he was going there after all this time?
Inquiring minds want to know (I'm one of 'em).

Here is a screenshot being passed around as evidence that A&M paid $4,000,000 for Hicks:

I know this is an unpopular opinion. But I'm glad these guys are getting a chance to finally cash in. It's not coming out of the school budgets (atleast not directly). And if that 4 million is higher than the ? million that OU was offering, either way it will change his and his family's life for the better.
Not that long ago, his school of choice would ridiculously have faced NCAA sanctions for offering him some extra food during on-campus activities - while the coaches and admins were lounging around in their mini-mansions. The coaches and admins are better off now than they've ever been, and now the players are getting cuts of the tsunami flow of money action as well. We'll see how the doom-and-gloom predictions really play out, but as others have stated, it's not the first time a sure-thing recruit has flipped. It won't be the last. And OU is going to have their share as well.

I think you guys may be setting yourselves up for a big letdown with that payroll. There is no salary cap and if there is one thing I know about people who work only for money, they don't like it when someone gets more then they do. You are talking about young people who have more money than they know what to do with right now, and some of them are set even if they quit playing and wait for their time in the draft.

OU loses recruit to A&M and it’s automatic because of NIL.
We have been recruiting Hicks since the 8th grade. He’s in Houston.
The internet has made people crazy.
