Tennessee did too much for too long to knock them off the blue blood list just yet.

Tennessee isn't a blue blood. Alabama is the only "blue blood" that currently competes in the SEC. The others are as follows:

Southern California
Texas
Oklahoma
Nebraska
Ohio State
Michigan
Notre Dame

Weird...LSU owns more NCs in the last 30 years than all of these "blue-bloods".

Nah, it's not and you're not. Glad I could clear that up for you.

Wouldn't the margin be determined based from each team's 1st day in the SEC? Or a universal starting date to compare these 6 with the other 6?

Obviously a mad scramble way behind the flagship in the SEC. The golden age of the SEC has been upon us since the advent of the BCS and 4 team playoff. Nothing good will ever come from other power 5 conferences now having to "prove it" on the football field.

Congratulations on being a Johnny-Come-Lately. You're now in the same league as Florida State and Florida. Being a "blue blood" requires more than just being relevant for 20 years. For instance...from 1969-2001, Nebraska finished ranked in the Top 10 almost 30 times and never had a season with fewer than 9 wins. That's what a blue blood does.

All time wins is the worst indicator. It has Havard and Yale at dominant program. It also counts wins from the 1800’s when Colleges would literally play against local fire stations, high schools, and labor union teams.

Why is Texas a blue blood? Given their location and resources, they are perhaps the most underachieving program in the country. The only other one close is UCLA

Blue blood is also a highly subjective list. There are some schools that are obviously blue bloods, then there are some that haven't done shite in far too long to be still considered one.

No one really cares about this stuff... but clearly both Georgia and LSU passed Tennessee.

Bluebloods pass the test of time. They translate through the decades and with obvious gaps here and there they always manifest themselves as national powers. Miami had their moments when they were often referred to as a dynasty for winning 4 NCs in less than a decade. Who wants to rightly put them in the Blueblood category?

You can't say Blueblood without respecting longevity.

And they count “claimed” national titles instead legitimate titles. LSU only claims legitimate titles while UT claims 6 when they only have 2.

But either way, LSU has passed Tennessee in historical program achievement and it largely happened last season.
