So, by this thread, 2 time division winners should never be picked over the guys that couldn't win the East even in down years.

Okay, got it.

No one cares about division titles save for Mizz, UK, OM, Vandy and perhaps MSU.

What does two years ago have to do with this year? Mizz won't be respected like you apparently want for a very long time and not until there has been some sort of major accomplishment to congratulate you guys on. So far...nothing.

No one cares about division titles? Yeah, okay.

No one cares if one team could beat Georgia Southern or not at home either.

No one cares about division titles except the teams I've listed. Do you see anything they have in common?

A Sec division champ has lost a game by 20 or more in 9 of the last 12 seasons. The exceptions are 2008, 2009 (Florida lost by 19 in the SEC championship), and 2013.

Goes to show the importance of having a cheerleader as your coach or return a bunch from a team who had a strong group of quality wins.

I like Mizzou, though mainly because of Pinkel, not killz. Y'all are at a natural recruiting disadvantage vs must southern schools, yet compete and win. Timing was perfect for y'all, considering how down the east has been. But it still shouldn't have happened with the talent on some of those squads. Luckily, weak coaching allowed Pinkel to take advantage.

No offense to Missouri, but you've won the SEC East for two years because the rest of the East has been a derp fest -- it's not that you've been that good, just that they've been that bad or tripped over their own balls.

I expect the VOLS to ball out this year.

When UF and UT suck, the East sucks. Georgia didn't suck, but they weren't exactly wrecking people's shite either.

That's probably because we can't name a program which won their division back to back and got steamrolled both times in the SECC.

I have nothing against Mizzou, and I agree your teams have been overlooked, but you're not going to improve that at the SEC Rant. You improve it by showing up to the championship game with a pulse.

This pretty much.

Maybe Alabama in the 94 season

Yep...they had won the West the prior two years, but in '93 they only won because Auburn was ineligible and finished that season 5-2-1 in conference play. Going into '94, there was as much or more talk about Auburn than Bama.

Division champ unanimously overlooked like Mizzou has been this offseason?

why should what you've done in 13/14 have anything to do with 2015? Could it be that there are other teams (not saying UGA in particular, just anybody) that may look better on paper right now than missouri?

You won the last 2 and nothing will change that. But that doesn't mean you shoudl automatically be the favorite the following year.

I don't think we looked like the best team, on paper, during the 13 & 14 preseason either.

All this talk is just speculation. Why whine about respect from other fan bases or the media? They don't decide who wins the games. This isn't the WWE.

we were on our way after the first month, beating 2 top 10 teams in 3 weeks. Then the injuries hit and we weren't the same team.

2007 UT only lost by 7 to LSU
