Four of ESPN's top 10 recruits for the 2022 class are now committed to SEC Schools:

Arkansas - 2
Kentucky - 1 (#1 overall)
Alabama - 1

The rest are split between Duke, Baylor and UCLA.

Auburn is also always going to recruit well and so is Tennessee. And of course, Will Wade will always Will Wade...

It also looks like none of these top coaches are going anywhere for a while, which means the league will be absolutely loaded with blue chip, NBA type talent for years to come.

And with Texas and Chris Beard coming into the league soon, the talent on the floor and coaching accumen will be even greater.

Say what you will, but a strong case can be made that the SEC has rapidly become the best league in College basketball. That statement was basically unfathomable just 5-7 yrs ago when the league was littered with the likes of Mike Anderson, Cuonzo Martin, Johnny Jones, Kim Anderson, Anthony Grant, Mark Fox, etc.

The Big Ten showed their asses in March, from a performance to expectation standpoint. The Pac-12 has been a lost for awhile, Covid probably stomped them out, but on their own accord. The ACC and Big 12 always play good ball, some years better than others. The SEC has done a marvelous job of surpassing a couple conferences in a short amount of time, and the show goes on.

Their showing last year besides Michigan was embarrassing

Eh, USC and UCLA both had great runs. Oregon made the sweet 16 too.

The ACC was Pretty shitty last year too.

Yes, But to say the SEC is the best is just loop-de-loop.

That was intended to be in the context of long term progression, I did take a shot at the Big Ten. Point being, the SEC is not the poor man's "power" (whatever) conference it was less than a decade ago.

SEC may not be as deep as some leagues, but their upper echelon and the amount of talent on the floor will be insane.

Pac 12 is going to be sneaky good with the resurgence of UCLA and Oregon recruiting the way they are.

It’s probably not the best coached, but we have the most nba talent these days.

Pear, calipari, and pearl are like the Mt Rushmore of handing off the bag. Howland, Kermit, Oats, Muss, and Barnes are not choir nuns. Cuonzo is dirty, but he’s a fricking idiot.

Anyway, the sec is probably not the best coached, but on paper we can beat most on a good day

We won't count you as an SEC member until you win a Division. Aggy isn't a member yet. So, no.

Pac 12 had UCLA in the F4, USC and Oregon State in the Elite 8, and Oregon in Sweet 16. Colorado also had a nice year. I am high on the new coach for Arizona.

Point being, college hoops is a crapshoot with the one and done. Sustainability is difficult, and many of the one and done kids don’t live up to their potential.

SEC has some outstanding coaches, and the time is ripe to make an ascent with incoming OU and Texas being led by two more excellent coaches, and then giants like UNC and Duke going through coaching changes now and in the near future.

Big 12 is a great conference, but the breakup will cause a shakeup.

It's definitely a lot better and got some good depth unlike the past. Mike White needs to be fired.

What’s up Kansas?

Felt good for Muss to snag another recruit over Kansas.

Looking at #10 on that board, I would be really nervous having a commitment from a guy name Flipowski
