I don't know about best, but I personally believe the SEC will be top-to-bottom among the best this year.
Relative to past seasons, this may be (and should be) the best the SEC has ever been.
But I'm also pretty biased.

I’m riding with our coach that is going into his 3rd year at Arkansas and took us to an elite 8 in year two with all his players. Unreal what he was able to do.
South Carolina was a one hit wonder and they all know that.
Muss is building something special and everyone that covers the game sees that.
Guy has coached college ball for 7 years (one of those cut short due to covid) and has two sweet 16s and an elite 8.
One of the best coaches in the country and nobody is denying that
Preseason ranked top 12 with the #2 class for 2022.
It’s ok maybe Kansas will be good at swimming or something
South Carolina was a one hit wonder and they all know that.

You do not have 3 in the current format of tournament. You have two.
Your 3rd was back in the 40s or 50s.
So Congrats on having one more title than Arkansas since anyone on this board was close to being alive and the tournament had more than 30 teams.
Explain to the audience again why you are on a SEC board? You will never get an invite to the SEC. it’s football season and your team is possibly the worst in D1.

Definitely helps prep for the SECT ND NCAAT. I'm fine with the SEC/Big 12 challenge, but frankly don't give a shite about playing anyone other than Kansas or West Virginia.

I got a Condo in Fayetteville and there frequently.
It’s a nice area luckily. All of Kansas blows.

Long way to go, but definitely not out of the realm of possibility in the near future.
Unfortunately for the SEC, there's a lot of teams that are still non-factors, whereas the B1G has 9-10/14 contenders each year, and the Big 12 typically only has 1 or 2 teams that aren't competitive.
However, the league-wide improvement over the past 5 years is probably the biggest out of any power 5 conference in any "big 3" men's sport. Just about every SEC school has done a great job re-inventing or re-establishing their basketball programs in that time. Should be a well-oiled machine by the 2023-24 season is beginning when Texas and OU join

If you been out of the country 30 times than congrats to you cause I have and seen a lot. Also live in one of the nicest parts of the world.
