i didn't watch much more than the 1st quarter or so in this game, so i have no real input.

i did find it funny when Alabama safety intercepted the ball, ran down field, fumbled it, and Ole Miss RB grabs it before it goes out of bounds.

Ole Miss players and coaching staff jumping up and down thinking they have the ball.

The side judge smirks and shakes his head as if to say, "Lulz, this is a Bama home game, this is definitely Bama ball"

I didn't watch the whole game either...do you have a link for this?

Irrelevant. Why do people keep questioning the potential result of the game had the ref made the right spot? We know OM is over matched. That is not the point.

Why doesn't anyone find it odd that a ref would need to cheat for Alabama with 14 minutes to go in FIRST QUARTER?

Seriously, what is the point of supposedly cheating when:

A. the game just started
B. it was Bama's 1st possession
C. Bama doesn't need any help to beat Ole Miss
D. it wasn't a critical play
E. THE GAME HAD JUST STARTED

People looking real illogical all up in here.

That is the question that should be answered.

Oh, wait a minute...you're saying that the ball was spotted correctly and there was no cheating?

But video evidence indicates otherwise. I mean a ref line dancing toward the first down marker is not a proper way to spot the ball. I'm sure the refs were never taught this method of spotting the ball outside of ref schools located in Birmingham.

Yep. Bama has now trailed 15 seconds out of a possible 18,000 seconds played this season. How long did Lsu trail Towson?

Everyone finds this odd. And they find it odd because it actually happened. On tv. In front of millions. With video evidence that is indisputable.

Uh no.

The ref's initial spot is where the ball was finally placed. He also looks at the other refs. They could have told him to move the ball up to their spot.

I bet your mommy is proud of the gold stars you've received in your reading comprehension class.

However, on this you're not even close to being on topic thus eliminating your supposed snipe.

As for the comment that LSU fans are constantly bitching bout "bad" calls in games that we are not involved in, that simply proves my initial point: SEC refs are horrible across the board & LSU fans, as should the rest of the league, are tired of it. But when it comes to LSU games themselves, for whatever reason, those games do seem to involve either bama or AU. And why should bama bitch bout calls? They haven't been called for holding in decades now it seems. To repeat: the SEC office is in Birmingham & it's not just LSU fans that bitch bout that cause & effect: every SEC alumni office there has begged & begged to get the offices moved to another city. Guess who controls that vote? A good friend was the LSU alumni chapter president there for 17 yrs & he's my source for what other alumni groups there feel.

You're right. The question which should be answered is why everyone is so convinced it's "cheating," whether or not the spot was correct.

Were anyone else the beneficiary of the spot (other than Florida, maybe), would it not just be considered another example of bad SEC officiating?

I've noticed that. When it's the SEC in general, it's bad officiating. When it's Alabama, though, it's clearly cheating. Even when it's Florida, though, it's "the SEC wanting to make sure certain programs make it to the NCG," but Alabama always pays the refs.

Who cares where his knee went down? That had nothing to do with where the ball was spotted.
