Get it over early and move on with the season

…or let it percolate all season long and play late?

Ole’ Miss-LSU if you really need a reference.

It could be better later in the year.
But this is the healthiest both teams will be. Weather should be perfect.
No excuses

Can you imagine? Halloween is a Saturday this year. They could have brought that back starting with this game.

Would have been nuts.

Yep. SEC blew it this year. Could’ve been an historic night with Halloween on a Saturday.

Yep.

SEC HQ ruins a lot of CFB traditions.

It's bullshite, and has been bullshite for years.

This game belongs on the final weekend in October.

LSU vs Ole Miss should be as close to Halloween as possible.

LSU vs State belongs at the beginning of the season

That's true. We can't risk Trinidad coming down with another sore throat. That would be devastating for Ole Miss.

Do you really want the Rant to be nothing but the same shite posting between two fan bases and a bunch of trolls.

I wish this was week one and over with.

Ole Miss needs to just resume their bottom 3rd spot where they historically sat minus the hooker years and when they had our coach.

You don’t hear aTm or Kentucky constantly crying about losing The Bear.

Will Florida be a victim this weekend?

I don’t know if it really matters that much for LSU when the game happens.

I do think it is good for Ole Miss that it happens early in the season. Emotions are still high, once its over (win or lose) you can just move on. Lingering until late in the season would probably take a toll on Ole Miss

It probably wouldn't.

One or both teams would have at least two losses later in the season and then it's not as fun.

Now is the perfect time, both fan bases have unrealistic expectations.

But good for Trinidad cuz he’d get another year of NIL.

Ole Miss fans should be very happy they get LSU in week 3, as LSU will only get better as the season goes on.

Week 3

And, just like that, 25% of the season is over.

To your point, I think it is a good place for it. It lets the feud and shite talk continue the rest of the season. Kind of hoping the winner of the game shoots their load and slips up just enough to miss the CFPs, while the loser wins out or loses maybe 1 more and makes a CFP run. That would keep the fun going into January

It's perfect. This early both teams are undefeated and both fanbases have talked themselves into National Championship contenders.

You likely wouldn't get that from at least one side later in the season.
