There is a 0.0% chance Tuscaloosa has better culinary anything than Austin.

I can’t believe I just upvoted a Texas fan but I agree with him

Also, not positive, but I don't think he's included all of huge metros (Atlanta, NO). I think it's around the general area of campus. For Tech he only listed restaurants surrounding Tech in that area of Midtown - not the whole city/metro of Atlanta.
Was curious about this. There's no chance that Tuscaloosa outranks the entirety of Atlanta or NO for example. So must have a strict radius he's looking at or something.

LSU would be Top 3 if they were in New Orleans.

The only thing special about Alabama’s cuisine scene is their use of mayonnaise in their bbq sauce.

Okay so I must have missed the Tuscaloosa BBQ hype train when I went. Better than Texas? I will have to see it to believe it
In central Alabama you get BBQ. In Central Texas you get brisket.
The guy that tends that cinder block smokehouse at the original archibald's in the northport ghetto- well when it comes to cooking a pig I'd put him up against anyone. Chuck's and 5 will both go toe-to-toe with any restaurant in the SEC, and you aren't beating city cafe for breakfast. Pretty east to see why Alabama took the top spot here. Quit going to dreamland and buffalo wild wings when you're in Tuscaloosa

I assume we are only talking meat and not seafood. LSU #1 for seafood. Texas #1 for meat because of that brisket in Austin. Memphis and East Carolina are 1A and 1B because of barbecue.

I forgot Memphis! how are they left off??

I personally think so - very good CFB, MLB, NBA and NFL stuff.
It really is the closest thing to an old school sports page or Sporting News that exists today.
