He should have been fired for not fact checking the material he sends out to people.

The question is what did Bama know and when did they know it.

Whose knowledge is considered Bama knowledge? Because obviously the assistant coach knew.

even if haha escapes and bama doesn't vacate any wins costing them a run at the nc its going to hurt. the stories are piling up, the media always turns on the media darling at some point. Espn enjoys building up things so they can let them burn later. saban also will start to look for a way out before his rep is damaged. texas will come with the 10 million dollar life raft.

It does not prove anything but a withdrawal

Right, so he withdrew the money he was loaned...could have just as easily spent it on sunglasses and daquiris as paying it back.

Write a check, show a deposit, now we have a paper trail.

Do his bank records tell where the money went?

I'm pretty sure you could just compare his bank records with the coach's bank records. If the coach received money in his account around the same time Clinton-Dix withdrew money from his account, I think it's pretty safe to assume the coach was paid back by the player.

What if the coach didn't deposit the money?

That isn't what the article says though. That is your assumption. It makes no mention of the coach's bank records.

Not to jump on the pile but...Georgia Tech had to vacate an ACC title over less than 500 dollars just a couple of years ago.

Important to note from that incident:

That's the key. If Bama didn't know until this week and they acted immediately, then they are probably fine unless the NCAA can prove otherwise.
