Auburn has played nobody. Peen St. already won on the road vs a top 5 defense.

because that's how it works.

Pruitt and Tennessee were yelling out to their defense exactly where the ball was going before we even snapped the ball. It had gotten that bad and predictable.

Pruitt seemed to have Malzahn's number at every stop. of course most of us saw enough of that offense to call a respectable defense against Gus.

The fact that Gus isn't coaching for Auburn anymore means we have a decent chance in this game.

And suddenly everyone thinks we're about to waltz up into a Happy Valley Whiteout with his players and win.

1. "Everyone" is not accurate. I've seen very few think we "waltz up into Happy Valley" and come away with a win.

2. Auburn didn't fire Gus because his overall recruiting sucked (maybe the OL). We fired him because his coaching led to being 0-15 on the road against UF, UGA, UA, LSU, and Clemson...

Should’ve fired him after that game. He would’ve been if not for the buyout.

He should’ve been fired after LSU 2017, after giving up a 20pt lead in the second half. 90% of the fanbase was done after that. That would’ve kept us out of the horrible contract after he coached for his life against UGA/Bama.

I think that is fair.

We would need to play really well to win.

That LSU team lost at home to Troy two weeks before... because Gus shitting his pants and blowing that lead wasn't bad enough. If he were still the coach he would find a way to lose to them again this year in a completely unwatchable 17-13 game.

It'd be really interesting to see someone do a deep dive on why Gus was so bad in road and neutral site games. It wasn't like some of those teams were bad, though some of them were. Was it him just coaching tight? I think of the 2014 Iron Bowl where he left tons of points on the field in the first half, either by trying to get cute with play calling or poor clock management(I think I remember a delay of game on a critical 3rd down at least).

We should’ve scored 60 that game but got deep in the red zone 4-5 times and had to settle for field goals.
