Now that is just a stupid post. 50-60% against good teams? He's lost 9 games in the last 7 years.
That sounds about like the 50% of the good teams hes played.

You would have to figure out some way to eliminate the [FCS team]

Ive been screaming this since the BCS started. These FCS games are a waste of time.

Eliminate these games and a playoff is essentially built into the regular season.

Make it a 8 Conference game season and then the other 4 games should pick one school from the remaining power 5 conferences.

Sec games 8
ACC game 1
Big 10 game 1
Big 12 game 1
Pac 12 game 1

Total games 12

4 Team playoff

DONE!

How does a guy with 6 National Championships where he won them by beating the other top ranked teams only have a 50% or 60% record against 'good' teams? For sure you can't be this stupid?
Playing few top teams and backdooring in to championship games.

So are you going home and home with these 4 other games? You think these schools want to give 2 additional no e games every year and the revenue associated with it?

How bout the same for the schools from the other conferences?

If it had been 8 this year, he would have drawn Oklahoma in the first round. That wouldn't have gone well for him.

Yes it works all the way around. 5 conferneces.

Each conference plays 8 in-conference games and 4 power 5 conference games

Hell, the only way he'd ever benefit from it would be if he could figure a way to get all the games played at JHS.

This will turn the regular season into the same crap that the NFL and NCAA BB have become.
Pretty much there already. Might as well go all the way. Conference play is essentially meaningless in the current setup.

Giving up 2 home games a year and the revenue associated with it?

Who said anything about giving up 2 home games.

the 4 non conference games are just swapping from FCS schools to FBS schools.

Scheduling home vs away will stay the same

They would have to eliminate Conference Championships and Divisional Play. Unless they use those games as a first round of the 8 Team playoff system. It would mean ND would have to play in the ACC and only 4 major Conferences.

I don't have a problem with a 9 game conference schedule. As a matter of fact, Saban proposed just that during the last 2-3 Spring meetings and it was shot down 13-1. It's all about money so, how can we keep the presidents happy, tv happy, and these lesser teams that are simply fighting to make a bowl happy? Got to keep the NFL happy too. We don't want to interfere with their playoffs and take away their money by extending our season too long either.

Get rid of those OOC mismatches. It sucks for the players and the fans. If they want to get non-starters some playing time, go back to a three JV game system.

Why don't they just do the top 12, 16 or 25? More football is a good thing. Use the bowls as regions. Top 2-4 get byes. Eliminate the FCS games. Done

If you add 4 P5 non confrence games that means that you're taking at least 3 home G5/FCS games that you play annually.P5 OOC games would have to be home and home.

Which means you lose 1 to 2 additional home games every year.

Capiche???
