Enjoy it. Which I don’t have to tell you guys that. You ride the high for years since you don’t win but once every few years. Get ready for a typical elite Alabama defense paired with Tua. We can discuss the iron bowl in 2021 when you align your stars again.

That's why I said piety much...those three teams ALL had a shot and failed.
So did Bama, then.
Your logic is shite because "Lol fuk da barn"

You guys also lost to LSU bro.You had your shot and lost.Occasionally you have to win a game outside the friendly confines if JHS.
Once again quit your bitching...you already proved who
you were against UCF.

I get zero utils out of FCS games.
You can still play that one marquee OOC game with a 9 game conference schedule.

4 team playoff is perfect. Of course gus wants to reward mediocrity. He is the poster child for mediocrity. Go to 8 teams and have moms pass out juice boxes at the half as well.
Here’s my advice: play better!

Absolutely, and also well enough to lose to clemson, lsu, georgia, and ucf.
Definitely got the edge in hoopyshoot though

Would be a great idea in my opinion. This year for example we would have had Miami, UCF, OSU and Wisconsin in the playoffs with the other four teams and there would be no argument.

Well Gustav I hate to break it to you but you would’ve been out the first round anyway. Our team blew its load in November. Refractory period til 2018, or more likely 2021.

There wouldn’t be a SECCG, so AU would have been a #2 seed.

t is impossible to make it totally an earned spot. However, if you stay at 4 you need to require a conference title and write some Notre Dame loop hole about them being ranked top 4.
Is this the utter stupidity this discussion has come to? You want to require a conference championship, and then reward Notre fricking Dame with a pass because they refuse to join a conference? Do you have any brain cells whatsoever?

Those teams were punished for having to play in a conference championship game.
Were you even fricking alive yet in 1992? You dumbasses bitching about this are downright comical.

Dumb is dumb!
Some conferences are weak enough in some years that their winner does not deserve to be in the race. Like the Big 10
You'd have to be an idiot to not see the B1G's motives in creating an entire division of cupcakes in order to give OSU/UM/PSU a cakewalk in their championship game.

And every conference commissioner and school AD rejects that notion, which is why being a conference champion is not a prerequisite to being in the top 4.
Notre Dame has way too much clout to simply be left out, too. We need to remember that hat the individual schools run major college football. Not the conferences. Not the NCAA.

Keep in mind the Big 10 didn’t even start playing a championship game until 2011. Only about 20 years behind the SEC.

You would have to figure out some way to eliminate the [FCS team] off your schedule or everybody have nine conference games or something like that
Funny Gus would say that when he voted against a nine game conference schedule back in 2013. Actions speak louder than words.
quote:
The short-term answer for the SEC is to keep the number of conference games at eight, but coaches and athletic directors agreed Wednesday that a move to nine is probably inevitable.
The head coaches voted 13-1 to stay at eight conference games. The only coach voting for nine conference games was Alabama's Nick Saban.

And bama was eliminated in the play in round, no wait..

Gus wants an 8 playoff because he knows that is Auburn’s only chance of ever making it back into the playoffs.

Good one.. did you think of that all by yourself?
