Gus is a idiot. Auburn could turn around right now and fire him for less than he was going to get 24 hours ago..

Your OC's name keeps coming up in our OC search and has picked up steam since this deal was announced.

Not really.

Let’s say you’ve already made millions of dollars so you’re not hurting for money. Someone offers you $15 mill to leave now or $30 million if you finish out the contract with a reduced buyout to $10 million.

Smart decision is to keep working. And we still don’t know how much his buyout has been reduced.

Smart decision is to tell Auburn to get fricked, make them fire you and get your huge buyout.

Has it even been confirmed that this is a deal?

I would assume there’s a stipulation that prevents that

With a 32 million buyout, Gus would be an idiot to renegotiate a contract that would essentially make it cheaper for the school to fire him. He needs to tell them what to do up a rope and hold them to the contract they agreed to. Furthermore, tell the University that perhaps the President and AD should have their contracts reduced since they were stupid enough to sign off on it.

Gus should be fired for stupidity if he actually agrees to a reduced buyout. It's clear tat Auburn yet again, is not willing to allow a coach to built a program due to a severe case of Nick Sabanitis.

Gus would have no problem landing another quality job while chilling with those installment checks from Auburn.

For 28-32 mil they could fire me. He could spend a few years on ESPN, get rejuvenated and pull a Mack Brown.

By whom? Marshall is the only one I've seen report that. I'm not buying it just because he said it.

At present, this is all a bunch of BS rumors pushed by a bunch of clickbait fricktards that have no idea what is really going on.

My compliments, sir, and be damned.

You really think he’d accept a reduced buyout and it not be in writing that they couldn’t fire him right after?

"According to Auburn Undercover, Malzahn met with school president Steven Leath on Sunday to discuss the coach’s contract status. There remains no official word on when this agreement will be finalized."

All they did was talk to the same source Marshall did.

He’s a legitimate fricking moron if he’s giving away millions of dollars.

That’s the simple truth of this.
