Not trying to flame either of the teams posters. In the case of Gus it's Auburn's schedule that will make things snowball. Gus's offense was unique and different 9 years ago, it also took advantage of bigger D-lineman during that period who couldn't run in space. The league has adjusted to it now.

With Coach O, he doesn't do a good job of preparing his team from game to game. He can motivate, but once the game settles in and adjustments need to made in close games. It feels like he plays not to lose.

Neither program has done great a job in developing recruited QBs from their classes in forever.... eventually expected production from transfer QB don't pan out you're in hole.

No they're not. Theres more of a chance Saban retires than those two idiots getting fired.

LSU is going to be a 9+ win team this year. Orgeron isn't going anywhere, especially with the recruiting class he and his staff are putting together.

Malzahn, however, could be a different story. The offseason shenanigans in Auburn have shown everyone that Gus will be coaching for his job this season. Anything less than a 9-win regular season and his arse is most likely getting shown the door. In fact...he most likely HAS to beat Alabama in Jordan-Hare to keep his job.

Gus already has his excuse for this season with having to play a freshman QB. Lucky for him his defense will be good enough to get Auburn to 7 wins and Gus will be safe to cash that giant check from the university.

Gus is 2-4 (losing by 19.0 ppg in the four losses) against Alabama and lost 52-21 last season.

But please keep him if a win every four years is all that matters.

I mean the point was if the offense is figured out, how did he recently kick Saban’s shite in? He also kicked Saban’s former sidekick’s shite in right before that.

Also 2-4 is not a win every 4 years just FYI

He also lost to Jeremy Pruitt and said sidekick last season, on top of losing by 31 to Alabama.

He did. But that was against a defense that had finally been pushed to its limit due to key injuries and a QB who was losing the team, the fanbase, and confidence in his own abilities as a player.

The irony is Auburn probably did us a favor. We weren't beating Georgia in Atlanta that next week. We were too banged up on defense and too confused and lacking confidence on offense. It was losing to Auburn that assured us a spot in the playoffs. It was also losing to Auburn that gave us that additional week to rest and heal. So...thank you, Gus.

LSU will win 10 games and AU will win 8 and both coaches are safe.

Which is? 2017 Iron Bowl that really didn’t matter since Auburn lost to Georgia a week
later?

No, Auburn beat Alabama fair and square. We just weren't at 100% and, for whatever reason, didn't have our best personnel on the field at key positions (i.e. QB).
