I'm a lifelong Bama fan and Grubb is right.... They're averaging almost 50 points a game and you'd think we look like LSU or something....

I suggest you and "I'm only human" get a hormone shot.

You've had your say about all this Grubb stuff, and still you want to make this about me. Get personal, get rebuttal.

Saban knew there can only be ONE voice for the program and his was that voice. Removes any confusion or contradiction between HC and his coordinators.

Guess who else spurned the OC job here to go to the NFL? Sarkisian.
Why did nobody hate Sark the way they hate Grubb?

I don't care where Grubb came from or why he took the job. I was merely pointing out that his heart doesn't seem to be in this job; we shall see.

quote:

I remember after the TN game last year he complemented the fans and said it was the greatest environment he'd ever been a part of anywhere.

He got a ton of criticism for having the worst BAMA running game since the 1950s. Damien Harris, on his CBS commentary, was telling the football world it was going to end badly in the playoffs because we couldn't run. Plenty of BAMA fans saw the same handwriting on the wall.

Grubb should have thanked the BAMA fans for sitting in that heat for almost 6 hours, trying to get the Tide through a game they never secured until the final minute. Instead, they get accused of quitting on the BAMA players. Someone should teach Grubbs not to play with matches.

quote:

He's one of the highest paid assistants in the country and is coaching with a long-time friend. Why wouldn't he want to be here

Ask him; he's the dude who took the Seattle job, after he introduced himself to BAMA fans as your new OC.

The things we take for granted. Coach Saban understood human nature better than most and got out in front of issues. I do wish Coach DeBoer would have made an attempt to cut this off at the path. He allows his coordinators to represent his program in these pressers, I think BAMA fans would have appreciated his leadership. I still would.

Alabama also had the worst starting running backs in decades the last two seasons. When Saban retired the portal gutted Alabama’s running back room. I appreciate Jam Miller sticking around. But he was not an explosive running back. There is a reason he is not on a NFL roster.

I appreciate Daniel Hill sticking around. But he is a FB who has been pressed into service as a RB. He is not an explosive back.

This season Alabama finally has two explosive backs, Brown and Crowell. Poor Kevin Riley, who played a lot last year, especially because of Miller’s injuries, has barely seen the field.

It is hard to have a great rushing attack under any OC when he doesn’t have good running backs.

By the way, you have the same posting style as a couple of other long time well known alters larping as fans of other SEC teams. Purely a coincidence I’m sure.

I am told these are no longer viable excuses in the portal era, mostly by a lot of Alabama fans.

Running the ball at ALABAMA is a state of mind and an offensive scheme to go with it.

I think he did in a way by the appreciation he said he had for the fans that endured the delay. But he needs to have a sit down with his coordinators and tell them not to comment on fan reaction. Comment on player performance and what not but nothing as far as fans go. The HC will address that if need be.

How can you pretend to know his heart?

If you expect him to be like a fan, then you are likely the problem. It's his job, he's not a fan. Are you trying to claim he doesn't put in the effort or something?

quote:

By people who either don't know shite about football, or don't understand we had to make a transition. This is the first year we have the type of offensive line players that DeBoer(and Grubb) want, and thus far it looks pretty good. The pulling of lineman and getting them out in space and stretching the defenses is working so far. And the lines should be getting better as the year goes on, so long as we don't get screwed with injuries.

And our OLine had been struggling for the last few years of Saban's career as well, it was just made up for with mobile QBs.

Seeing the writing on the wall and being able to read and understand it are two completely different things. There are reasons WHY our run game sucked, and people who contribute it to the OC are only doing so because that's the face.

Damien Harris also tried to claim DeBoers job was on the line, which was pretty stupid.

Things like this is why I think you sound like a bitch. SO frickING WHAT? Oh no, someone wanted to take a chance at professional football, the absolute horror! Oh no, someone doesn't think Alabama is the greatest ever.

Again, so fricking what? Do you want an offensive coordinator or do you want to lose a bunch of games with a fellow fan at the position? I've never heard such a ridiculous complaint about an assistant coach.

Fans who boo'd should be shunned by other fans.

That's some loser school crap and completely uncalled for in the 3rd game of an undefeated season in the 1st quarter of our biggest OOC game of the regular season.

They didn't help anything, just created distractions and possibly hurt future recruiting and team morale.

All because of a couple of 3 and outs, and they weren't even 3 and outs because of bad play calling either if you watch the plays.

The fans who boo'd are ignorant people who need to learn a little football before throwing their 2 cents out in the middle of a game.

Alabama fans are stupid.

The fans who boo'd should be called out for being cry baby losers by everyone else. The coach shouldn't need to say a thing.

Wow.

I think any fan who spends their hard earned money to buy a ticket\tickets to any game or contribute to NIL have every right to voice their displeasure with their ROI. Whether it's bad play by players or bad coaching. The way a HC or assistant acts in response tells me just how thinned skinned the coach is. Grubb got his feelings hurt by booing fans and tried to place the aim of the boo's on the players. If he would have kept his mouth shut and acted like a man instead of a schoolgirl this would be a moot point.

So you think people can pay for a ticket makes it ok for them to be losers spreading loser energy?

I don't.

Sure, they have the "right", but I'm going to call them out for what they are. Bitch arse losers.

It doesn't help the team, it doesn't help with recruiting, it doesn't help anything. It does the opposite of that. It's losers who can't process their frustrations properly after emotionally investing in something they have no control over. They are left with lashing out like a 5 year old.

Alabama has punted 3 times in the past 2 games and people are booing. That's ridiculous and a bad look for the entire fan base.

You think this is still a thing? When players started getting paid, it removed all of the feel good from the game. These guys (players and coaches) are getting paid very handsomely to put a GOOD product on the field. And they should feel bad when they don't live up to that.

It's the fact that Alabama isn't the dominant team it once was. They used to be done by halftime and the 2nd and 3rd teamers would get their opportunity at some snaps. Florida State shouldn't have been on the field with Bama at the half. And I'm okay with fans who showed their displeasure with it.

It's a negative for the school. Sure it doesn't matter as much as it did, but recruits still take visits and all these things still factor into it. Money adds value, but it's not the only value a school has to offer.

I don't give a damn how much they are making, it doesn't excuse the behavior of which benefits nobody. It's again, nothing more than people who haven't properly adjusted to dealing with their frustrations.

I've been a fan long enough to see Alabama win 9 national championships.

This is stupid shite and stupid people who have very selective memories at best. These are some of the best teams I've watched overall at Alabama. I remember the 80s, I remember the Dark Ages.

It's stupid. This is how you end up like Auburn.
