Won their first game against Michigan State who knocked off Michigan this past weekend and played Indiana a lot tougher than the final score. I feel like Tennessee fans will be regretting that smear campaign pretty soon.

Schiano is a legitimate top 15 head coach in college football. Not many can do what he can do at a place like Rutgers. People forget that Schiano was so well thought of he made the leap to be an NFL head coach after what he did at Rutgers. You got to be a hell of a coach to make that move.

Type that out enough times and you just might believe what's in your head.

At Rutgers, maybe. He has the cred there to command respect. Not so sure he would be as effective elsewhere. I'm glad to see him back there though. Was fun watching his teams when he was there earlier.

UT fans think a mid 20s position coach can take down an institution like Joe P.

Short memories as he was hated by NFL scouts, his pro players & his college peers for the way he treated them, the scouts in particular. He was a class A prick back then & leopards do not change their spots.

And pruitt showed up at Mark Richts house on a Sunday drunk and wanting a fist fight ...

Richt, known as the Reverend, would have stumped him in front of his entire family.

Shiano would likely win a title with Sabans guys. He may not could build what saban built but he could take it and do well.

That Tenn shite show hiring process was never about him, it was about the death of their personal expectations for the program.

When Texas isn’t able to hire Urban Meyer we will see something similar out of the other UT this offseason. It’s tougher to be a has been than a never was.

Little biased towards my home state here but why does that matter? Saban had a hard time connecting with his players on the Dolphins.

The disciplinarian stuff doesn't always work out in the NFL. He seems to have learned and moved on.

I think he's a uniquely good fit at RU and even though I like the guy generally I'm not sure he'd have the same success at a place like TN. He's in the ideal spot for him at Rutgers. NJ isn't GA or TX as far as recruits but it produces a decent amount, and the high school coaches here absolutely love the guy.

Folks in our office made a lot of money on Rutgers back in the day. Rutgers Rutgers Rutgers was a Friday morning salute.
