LSU beat McElroy and Alabama with Jordan Jefferson at QB.

I do think that NIL is working in the other sports better than it is for football.
Men's basketball players are staying in college instead of leaving for the draft, and being assigned to the G League team or playing overseas.
SEC baseball facilities and player development in general are better than every minor league team at the AA level and below. At the AAA level you start to see the MLB investment in their farm teams be better than the SEC.
I just don't see myself going to a game to see the Athens Bulldogs play the Knoxville Volunteers when the players on the team have no affiliation with the school I grew up pulling for and graduated from other than playing on the campus, having the same colors as the school, and having the same mascot as the school's athletic teams.
I haven't attended a game on campus in a very long time. A lot of that is because of my schedule and not just the changes to CFB in the last 5 years. But full blown NFL Jr. will not just have me sitting at home to not pay out the arse to see UGA beat UT Chattanooga, but will also have me not going to the neutral site games - at NFL stadiums usually - or making time in my schedule on Saturdays to watch Georgia play Tennessee or whoever.
I don't do that for the NFL, and I damn sure won't do it for NFL Jr.

Seems like you are just stupid to process the simplest of arguments.

I think everyone agrees with him...the seeding method is dumb. I will say that I am not sure I would want one conference getting more than two byes...thoughts?

Sounds like a you problem

I could accept that being a rule, similar to the BCS two per conference rule (which fricked us over a couple of times)
However, if you're good enough to be ranked in the top 4 then you deserve it regardless of conference IMO

Pretty sure Nick wanted out of the NIL and Transfer Portal era...without those, I think he is still coaching...

The current iteration of the playoffs did it this way because some didn't want the SEC and Big Ten hogging the four bye spots.
I certainly wouldn't want to see all four from the same conference...and three is a stretch too...

He testified under oath in front of congress that this was the case.
He starts speaking at about the 20 second mark.

I don't think there should be any byes.
But then I thought it should've been an 8-team playoff at most. I was okay with 4.

I mean he isn't wrong, I don't know why they can't just rate teams 1-12 with the same system they use for college basketball, then you don't get these situations where Boise State is the 9th best team in ap poll bc their schedule is easier and wins conference in a worse conference and gets 3 seed in playoffs, that's insane lol.

The top four seeds, regardless of whether or not they are conference champions, should get first round byes. Then you seed 5-12 accordingly and have them play their way into the quarterfinals.
Yea this the best way and just use the system they use in basketball where it accounts for strength of schedule. They need to stop conflating record with strength of a team in different conferences, it's so dumb. Penn State will be -8.5 against SMU and most likely -7 against Boise state which is insane. If Ohio State beats Tenn, that line will probably be -1 Oregon

McElroy’s video had nothing to do with Alabama. Your thread has everything to do with Alabama.
LSU fan confirmed.
I really thought that Saban retiring would start the healing process. I was clearly wrong.

Yeah, the SEC and B1G.
The Big 12 and ACC (snicker)

Regular season and conference titles matter.
Not when all the decent teams are in two conferences. Sure those two matter, but the others are going to become more and more a joke as the SEC and Big 10 absorb more teams. We all know realignment isn't done.
Wake me when there is a two conference bracket like the NFL, lol

McElroy was at Alabama from 2007 to 2010. Alabama was 2-2 vs LSU in that span:
2007 LSU 41-34
2008 Alabama 27-21 OT
2009 Alabama 24-15
2010 LSU 24-21
Alabama 106 - LSU 101.

Alabama wasn't exactly dragging their nuts all over LSU's face when McElroy was the signal caller was my point.

If a team lost 3 games then they were already eliminated from the playoffs.
