Best football:
- 2011 GotC pt1
- 2012 SEC CG
- 2018 CFP NCG

Most entertaining:
- 2001 Arky vs Ole Miss - 7 OTs
- 2002 Tenn vs Arky - 6 OTs
- 2003 Arky vs UK - 7 OTs
- 2003 TSIO - 5 OTs

An underrated game is 2015 Arky-MSU, Dak threw for over 500 yards, Arky QB threw for over 400. Final score was 51-50 with MSU winning on a blocked field goal.

Both QBs had 7 total TDs, just a great QB duel.

The stakes were not there compared to other games which holds it back but it was a damn good shootout.

AND 40% of the points were scored by defense!

I know MSU's defense gets credit for the safety, but it was offensive holding in the endzone...so, really, Auburn scored all 5 points.

I think the 2004 Auburn/LSU game doesn't get enough love.

The first Auburn/SCarolina game in 2010 was awesome.

2010 Auburn/LSU almost broke Louisiana
Tennessee/Florida 2001
The Kick Six is a top 5 college football game EVER.
2012 SEC Champ Game
The Camback

A few others.

Agreed. For all the people who are saying this game was boring, did y'all expect lots of offense? I could see if maybe you were expecting a lot of offense, you may have been disappointed. These defenses had NFL talent ll over it. I know I wasn't expecting a high scoring affair. I don't think it was boring at all. That was grown man football.

Yes, but once again you have never even been in a game that mattered.

OP wasn’t specific in what the criteria for what constitutes greatest .

If pure excitement is the deciding factor, no doubt the ‘13 IB , 09&10 IB’s, 94 & 12 SECCG, 17 CFPGC, 12 A&M/ Bama, 07 LSU/UF and a handful of others rank above The GOTC.

If a competitive game between two great teams is what the OP asking, then it’s The GOTC hands down. I’m not sure that anything defines greatness more than the SEC’s two GOAT teams squaring off in a slug fest decided by 3 points.

The final 32 seconds of the game are a top moment in CFB history alongside "the Play" from the Cal-Stanford KO return through the band.

The rest of the game was sloppy and meh outside of a handful of explosive plays.

That is a really long time frame.

Within the past ten, I would say the kick six. Not just because I am an Auburn fan, but because it was just such a dramatic moment.

Howard Stern even tried to talk about it (that was a trainwreck) but it showed how that crazy ending captured national attention.

I also thought the game of the century LSU/AL was awesome to watch --- the defense was a thing of beauty.

The Tenn/Arky game in 98 gets neglected, in my opinion.

This will come off a little bias:
2012 SEC CG UGA vs Bama
2017 NCG UGA vs Bama
1996 UGA vs Auburn
2002 LSU vs UK
2013 Auburn vs UGA (That one hurt)

2001 UGA/Tenn was a sloppy game with one of the better finishes in league history.

2001 Tennessee/Florida is the best football game I have ever watched between two SEC teams. It had brilliant offense and great defense, star players playing at a high level, and everything was on the line. I was shocked that #5 Tennessee was an 18 point dog going in.

That was also the day I learned that kicking FGs in the red zone usually ends up in losing games.

Is it Bama/LSU 2011, the "game of the century?"

I love watching great defense as much as anybody, and more than most, but I do like a little offense to go with it.

The 2012 SECCG is my pick. That was an incredible game to watch.

The only thing missing from that game was Earnest Graham. Gillespie and Carthon were nowhere near his talent level. He missed two games that year that Spurrier would have won by double digits, costing UF its elusive unbeaten regular season.

Graham was a great RB, but I'm not entirely convinced he would have made a huge difference that day given how awesome Tennessee's defensive line was. Grossman took a fricking beating that day.
