Probably Reggie white but Will Anderson needs to be considered. Only plays three seasons unlike a lot of players mentioned and had the awards and stats he did, playing under Pete fricking Golding. If he played a fourth year he would win everything with this better defense

Reggie White?
Different scheme - he was a DE in the 4-3 days. But if I'm just picking dudes ?
Reggie White. If I can't pick Lawrence Taylor, because we're talking D-Line ? Reggie White.

Doug Atkins was a beast!
won a championship at Tennessee in 1951 and went on to be a monster in the NFL. Below are the links to a few videos about him in youtube.

The answer is Trindon Holiday at DE.
You never saw it because it would have been unfair for an oline to block an unstoppable force.

I'm reading this thread I'm thinking there's no way it's Miles Garrett because I barely remember him having an impact in college. Looked up his stats and yeah they're pretty good. He just didn't have much success against Ole Miss because he was going up against Laremy Tunsil for 2 of the 3 years. He did manage to get a sack as a freshman on our RT but no sacks in 2015 or 2016. No idea why he didn't play on the RT side against us more.
Myles dominated the SEC his true freshman year. He was the #1 NFL draft pick after his 2nd year in college.
Sorry buddy but Myles will go down as a Top 3 NFL DL and 1st time vote for Hall of Fame.
But I clearly dont listen. The question was SEC history. Myles will never be that as he only played till he was 20 years old. He broke records but can't compete against 4 year DL.
In the NFL...be a different story in 10 years.
I would ask what is the best SEC DL that also produced hall of fame results in the NFL? Why I say....Reggie.

From what I'm seeing here, it looks like the Mt. Rush-more of modern SEC DL is:
White
Pollack
Rocker
D.Thomas - gets a pass
M.Garrett
FWIW - He may not be considered Mt. Rushmore level but Jeffrey Simmons was 1st team All-SEC twice and is a pretty damn good pro for my Titans.

Yes.
The George Pickens version of a Mt Rushmore.

Why do fellow LSU fans say this?
He was not that great

I think it is Reggie White, but Derrick Brown is on the list also. I haven’t seen him mentioned.

Imo Jeff Simmons is the best football player in MSU history. An absolute freak and also had a high motor. The last decade plus we have produced some high quality d lineman. Fletcher Cox, Chris Jones, Jeff Simmons, Montez Sweat and a few others that had long careers in the NFL

"Reggie was a beast but Garrett makes him look small and slow."
The DE from App State pulled a Reggie White on A&M's tackle last year son...Straight punk-bitched Fatheree right off of his feet - RW super-bowl style. Look it up. Put some respect on the Minister's name, son...
At 1:55 A&M's tackle gets Reggie Whited...

Considering the amount of accolades and respect given to Glenn Dorsey I think he was overrated to be honest
