I had to look up who that was, which proves the point I wanted to make that no one gives a shite about track.

Suzanne Yoculan, the former UGA gymnastics coach, deserves to be in that top 5.

Almost single-handedly, she turned Georgia Gymastics into the Wooden-era UCLA Bruins of the sport.

She is the most decorative coach in collegiate gymnastics history. She built the UGA gymnastics program into the biggest powerhouse NCAA gymnastics had ever seen.

Her record of 831-117-7 is unmatched.

She won 10 National Championships, including winning 5 national titles in-a-row, as Head Coach.

Along with the Dawgs winning 10 national titles, the Suzanne-led Gym Dawgs won16 SEC titles, 21 NCAA Regional titles, had 4 UNDEFEATED seasons, and coached 31 individual national champions.

Suzanne was 8-time SEC Coach of The Year winner and 5-time National Coach of The Year winner.

So you think Texas and Oklahoma should be included on a list of best SEC coaches and you haven't made a full year.

I agree with you I guess, but the SEC commercial is littered with Texas stars from ages old.

Who walked away as soon as he realized his gig was up.

That's a self-confession that pure coaching is not what made him great.

Texas has one NC since the Nixon Administration. Please tell us which coach should be included.

John McDonnell had 46 sec titles. 38 swc titles and 40 national championships. Not too shabby.

Updated my list. I don't know all the sports and all the coaches.

Football should be weighted about 100x a Track or Swimming Championship though.. ha.

It is and it certainly applies here, but I also want to say I really like your list. I’m not coming after you specifically.

I agree. Football, men’s basketball and baseball are the most important in my book. Arkansas fans don’t brag incessantly about our track program much on here.

But what McDonnell did was crazy good no matter the sport or where he accomplished it.
