And how many top 25 wins? How many of those awards came in a full season without any first rounders opting out?

Take every opponent of 2020 Alabama and add 3-4 wins they would have received playing the likes of Northwestern State, Utah State and Georgia Southern instead of an all SEC schedule.

You think those quitters would have won awards?

I’m out this thread this topic is played out. Pretty funny though a major national publication doesn’t even have 2020 Bama as a top 15 team of all time. All the other list you see such as the ESPN one you cling to has LSU #2.

I think the most hilarious part that it somehow Ohio State wins that national title game, the whole perception is drastically different. Imagine a fricking 8-win team actually being a national champion. A season where teams didn’t even play the same amount of games, and studs were forced to sit out of games because of bullshite contact tracing (TLaw playing the first game against ND shakes the playoffs up completely).

Imagine...a crowned champion who started playing football around Halloween lmfaoo, Most fans on this board absolutely shite on OSU even being allowed in the playoffs.

I love how this personally is your 5th thread in a little over a month about this same topic. For someone who’s so sure of 2020 Alabama’s place compared to other champs, you’re insanely insecure over it. You can tell it bothers you that there are folks out there that couldn’t careless about your COVID season.

The only reason the gumps are trying to make this a debate is because LSU had the greatest season and team of all time. If it were Michican, USC, or ND, etc, they wouldn't be trying to so hard.

I'm sure you'll agree that further delegitimizes the entire publication, as if ranking 1995 Nebraska at #13 wasn't enough. Anyone that has 2020 Bama, 2019 LSU, 1995 Nebraska outside of the Top 10 need to scrap their methodology and start over.

Because he is an LSU fan, and this thread is about the greatest team of all time, which is 2019 LSU. Did you eat some lead paint or something recently?

Troll post is obvious troll post but to state the facts:

2019 Bama was better than 2020.

2019 Bama lost to 2019 LSU in Tuscaloosa in a game where LSU was up 33-13 at the half, and where 21 of Bama's points came on a punt return, a trick play (Stingley looking at coaches for play call), and Stingley fell down in coverage on the last TD to Devonta at the end of the game.

2019 LSU beat 4 of the final top 10 teams by an average of over 23 points, two of which were #1 and #2 in defense.

2019 LSU would have beat 2020 Bama's arse. 2020 Bama's defense was roughly the same statiscally as the 2019 Bama defense despite playing against covid/opt out depleted teams all year. Burrow puts up 60+ on 2020 Bama.

I will say this though: 2020 Bama = Greatest recruiting job of all time getting all those players to come back and not opt out + sneakily avoiding proper covid testing of players.

Yall are making the wrong arguments. Just look at the top 10 wins. It's not really debatable then.

2020 bama didnt face a good defense.
2019 lsu faced the #1 d Georgia and I think Clemson's d was top 5 minimum, floridas wasnt bad either . They beat those top defenses by 3 tds a piece.

That's just a fact it's not even a debate. We beat the whole preseason top 4 . And did it in embarrassing fashion.
